While not the best example of a natural history museum in the world the the Beijing Museum of Natural History is still worth a visit if one has time. Located at 126, Tian Qiao Nan Street, in the Chongwen District of Beijing remains one of the most popular natural history museums in China. In fact tickets often have to be purchased in advance, such is its popularity. It was originally founded in 1951 as the National Central Museum of Natural History, and its name changed to the Beijing Museum of Natural History in 1962.
