A very detailed museum, a lot of it is in Thai only so I had to use Google Lens. Otherwise very nice and the wonderful ladies there did a great job guiding me through the history of the house.
A lovely little museum of everyday life. Middle-class houses with possessions of the family that left their property to be turned into a place that welcomes everyone interested in what life in Bangkok (and especially the Bangrak area) used to be like. Big part of the exhibition is in Thai only, which was a shame since I would have very much enjoyed knowing more about the urban development of the area, however overall impression it left on me is one of appreciation and interest to explore more.
Ladies who volunteer at this place are really welcoming and nice, one of them makes these beautiful ephemeral flowers in her free time, there are also some little items available for purchase such as bracelets, totally optional of course and there is not a single trace of push towards buying anything (although I strongly recommend it).

I have only positive things to say about this place.
The volunteers at the museum are very kind and are able to explain the history of the place in English.
Lots of very well preserved vintage everyday items you can see up close and personal.
The owner of the place donated it to the public, and sadly has passed away 7 years ago, so the volunteers told me. She had no one to pass it on to.
She had pets that won awards, which is adorable, their photos displayed on a drawer in the second building.
The whole places consists of 3 buildings. One is the main house, second was used as a doctor’s office, by the father of the past owner. And the third building was first, apartments that were rented out, but then turned into a kitchen.
If you are in Bangkok, this is a place you can visit, its free and its great to see how the people in the past went about their simple daily life.

A charming museum comprised of a cluster of three houses built just as western architecture was being introduced to Thailand. The experience here was one of journeying in time and the volunteers who gave the tour of the houses were simply delightful people. Their eagerness and enthusiasm, and the original undisturbed architecture of the three homes made this an out-of-the way, low key visit well worth undertaking.
I really wanted to like this place more but there was little to no context or description on the items in the house and why they might be interesting or significant. Otherwise if you are okay with just looking around and have extra time it's a pretty house that depicts post war life in Bangkok.

The houses themselves are well kept and it was definitely interesting to see how life was 100years ago in Thailand. I highly recommend

Ein kleines süßes Museum, was man in Bangkok auf jeden Fall mitnehmen muss. Es erzählt über eine Geschichte eines Doktoren, ehe Paares aus dem 20. Jahrhundert, deren Haus heute das Museum ist. Ausgestellt werden hier deren Häuser wie sie gelebt haben und was sie gesammelt haben. Ein großer Dank geht an die Mitarbeiter vor Ort, die einen von vorne bis hinten Mega gut betreuen.
