YYC Nature and Education Centre

We had them come to our house for mine and my partners birthday and it was a great experience. We had kids from 11-2 years in age and they all had a blast. They were so patient with the kids and the questions they had and everyone enjoyed petting the animals. I couldn't recommend them enough!

We had Adam come do a presentation for my animal obsessed 7 year old’s birthday party and it was great! I’m pretty sure the adults had just as much fun as the kids 😆.
Adam was great at keeping the kids engaged, gently reminding kids of the rules when needed, and was very respectful of the kids boundaries around which animals they did or didn’t want to touch or be near them. Highly recommend!

We had an incredible experience meeting critters as part of our friend's 30th birthday! She happens to be a Vet-tech, but even us non- animal career folks had a blast. Jason was able to tailor our time with a spectrum of animals, as well as avoiding fobias (no spiders). Great education and conversation. This gem needs to no longer be hidden!

Jason was nothing but GREAT! Went to one of the "home school session" and the kids loved it! He brought out the coolest animals and the kids learned a lot from him. We will definitely be back regularly as a field trip for the kids.

My 7 year old and I got the opportunity to attend a homeschool program and it was a fantastic experience for both my son and me. It was more hands on than expected (we got to hold and touch some of the animals) and my son learned a bundle of interesting facts. Jason is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable presenter. My child was way more engaged during his visit to the Nature Centre then he is going to the zoo. He's eager to return during a season focused on snakes!

My fiancé and I came here for the adults only night and it was amazing! We learned so much and the hosts were very funny and welcoming. Getting up close with all the animals was an experience you won’t get anywhere else in Calgary. This was the first adults night and I can’t wait to see what else Jeremy and Jason have in store. Totally recommend a will be back.

My son spent a few days here doing camps over spring break and he absolutely loved it!!! He's a very anxious kiddo and this is literally the only camp he's ever been to that he didn't cry at drop-off and couldn't wait to go back. He got to see, learn about and interact with so many cool animals! He usually never tells me anything about his days at school, but he spent the entire drive home from this camp everyday telling me all of the interesting facts he learned. If your kid is an animal lover, I can't recommend these camps enough. They really are something special!

Edited to add: My husband and I recently went to an 'adults night' at the centre and enjoyed it so much! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and offered a really entertaining evening with lots of cool creatures. Highly recommend it as a date night!
