Nice spot, was very busy but still space to park and unload. Lots of dock room so multiple people can get in or out at once, everyone seemed friendly and knew what they were doing.

Definitely a hidden gem. The road is well marked, my spouse and I went here on a Friday afternoon in August, parking was plentiful and there were no parking fees. Porta-potties were available, a nice amenity considering how far we were from anywhere.
We were using kayaks, and there was an area to the right of the pier that was ideal for us to launch - and it kept us away from people using boat trailers for larger craft.
The boat launch gave us access to Little Narragansett Bay, with nearby salt marsh creeks to explore and Sandy Point Beach just a mile away across well-sheltered waters. Sandy Point Beach was easy to land our kayaks on, and the Atlantic side of the dunes was a short walk away. We saw egrets, gulls, ducks and snakebirds in the waters.
There's a channel used by small powerboats about two thirds of the way from the launch to Sandy Point Beach, the powerboat captains kept well clear of my spouse and I as we crossed towards the beach and back.
I'm glad we discovered this launch site, I'd love to kayak here again.

Nice and quiet, solid amount of parking if you get there at the right time. Good easy kayak access, just a quick shot to Sandy Point

This is a great boat launch, lots of places to park. We come here with our kayaks and there is a place off to the side to launch them. My only complaint is the porta potties, they are disgusting. I actually popped a squat over on the side rather than use these filthy bathrooms.

A big lunch with lots of parking. I broke the skeg off of my outboard motor on a rock that is directly off the float on the left side as you face the water. Be very careful. My motor was raised. There is a lot of danger in this area, not for novice boaters

Great launch, roomy and well built by the State of CT.
Launch early or at night on weekends when the weather is nice and warm, the jet skiiers and novice boat ramp users during the day clog up the flow and have little to no etiquette. They sit and talk with little to no care of surroundings or other people waiting to launch or load, but that's every public ramp, ever.

Lots of no cost parking, car and boat trailer, easy paved into the water ramp and side kayak launch. Porta potties (2?) Are always clean. Can paddle easily anlo g shoreline in protected wetland marshes and cove. A bit of motor boat traffic on hot weekend days. But paddlers can find the less traveled spots too.
