It is an amazing place, calm and good energy. perfect for bbq, games and fun with family or friends. It has a very large lot for parking. You must arrive by car, the bus is difficult to access. perfect for walking or playing sports with great vegetation.

The Liberation Memorial standing in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, at Liberty State Park, is a worthy memorial to American action which rightly follows our Nations ideal of the value of every individual to live in Liberty. An American warrior, hands free of the tool of his trade, has picked up a WWII concentration camp prisoner to liberate him from the evil clutches of Germany’s mad dream of world domination. An evil that would have ended in the loss of liberty’s on a world scale.
The artist has clearly captured the greatness of western ideals to affect great good far from American shores. Our American warriors fight, and they also demonstrate love “for the least of these”in the world.

Located in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, "Liberation" is a monumental sculpture depicting an American soldier carrying a concentration camp survivor upon liberation is located in the center of a field with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island behind it. The inscription on the plaque at the base, along with the names of those who contributed toward the establishment of the memorial, reads: "Dedicated to America’s role of preserving freedom and rescuing the oppressed, this monument, by Natan Rapoport, of an American soldier carrying a World War II concentration camp survivor was gifted to the State of New Jersey through the generosity of thousands of people of good will. May 30, 1985. Liberty Park Monument Committee"
