Nice place for calm and peace. Go and hangout with friends. You can see mountains of Sanjay gandhi national and also of upwan side.one can see tulshi dam water plant.
This place has beautiful scenery but it's maintenance is 0%, gates are closed when we went but we climbed in (by the advice of a local there). It is not clean at all. Locals go there to wash clothes in Lake and take bath. The way to reach here is worst. Do not visit, if you want some good adventure you can visit SGNP Thane, it's very beautiful.

*Vihar Lake*
It is located in *heart of Mumbai in precincts of Sanjay Gandhi National Park!!!* It is the fresh water reservoirs built by the British back in *1860* to solve the drinking Water problem of the city. After few protest from the locals as thousands of well in the city used dry up in summer.
It is the *first piped water supply scheme of Mumbai*.
Even though it is *largest lake of Mumbai* City it only supply 3% of Mumbai City water requirement after filteration at Bhandup

Vihar Lake is huge lake at near Mumbai which provides water to south Mumbai specially. Made at British time by British government. Vihar lake is between Tulsi lake and powai lake. In monsoon season water overflow sometimes. Entry to people are restricted and swimming also but there are some local people who enjoys fishing and swimming at lake. You can find some groups for picnic and swimming in lake to enjoy Sunday.
Want to feel cool breeze, it's one of good placed to visit.
