California Labor Commissioner

This department is an extreme waste of resources .
Nothing gets done for years , they make you forget about justice .

Don't waste your time with these lazy people who work here. My hearing with the labor commissioner was over a year ago and still no answer. I called to get an update and the gentleman who answered was surprised how long it's been taking to get a response. He told me I need to call in everyday and bug them as he thought it wasn't acceptable either. The dooputy who they put in charge of my case gives me the same "cheap" response everytime I email him. I had all my evidence with me me at the initial meeting with dooputy noval and he wouldn't accept it as evidence. Dooputy noval said I can submit it before my hearing. It was a nightmare trying to submit the evidence , before my hearing, that took almost 2 years to get. LAZY LAZY LAZY state employees. My last case was completed and paid within 1 year because I had Sally Casarez handling my case. Sally had no problem taking in my evidence at my initial meeting with her. I don't understand why dooputy noval has special treatment. And from what I hear they gave dooputy noval, senior dooputy position. HE IS THE WORST IN MY OPINION.

I spoke to one of the representatives and her name is Nelie. She was very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Answered all my questions that helped me a lot. There should be more people like her and the pleasant character she shows

they make me wait 3years for see the judge and the deputy miscalculate the amount of hours i worked and i got 0dls from this claim she said she did it based on my infirmation and the information i gave her its the same but i worked 1200 hours she said i worked 4200 hours in 8 months coming a 18 hours a day wich its imposible. now she dosemt want helph with this

They were super helpful and informative. They really care. There was a bit of a wait, but to recover what I was owed and to have someone there to explain the law and my rights to me was invaluable. Be patient, knowing when you are seen, they will patiently explain how the laws may affect you and possibly help you.
