Of all city Metro stations, this station has the worst ambience outside.
It is several weeks since the heavy rains. Yet there is stagnant gutter water just outside the station on Hilton hotel side.
The corporation dustbins are neither used properly by the public nor cleared by the agency workers. You feel yuck at the entrance of this station.
Hope the metro authorities take notice and do the needful and keep a better ambience around..

I'm positively impressed by the metro service at Chennai Ekkatuthangal station. However, I'm extremely concerned about the condition of the footpath. Beggars and construction workers are using it for sleeping, toilet needs, and improper activities like alcohol consumption and smoking. Some individuals even walk around without proper clothing. This situation poses a safety risk for women pedestrians. I've captured a video highlighting these issues, which I'm sharing here for reference.

One of the low crowded metro stations in Chennai. Here we can access metros to Chennai Central and St. Thomas Mount. Easy access towards the bus stand and one of the crowded streets in Chennai, Ambal Nagar.

Ekkatutthangal Metro stations have 2 platforms, platform 1 towards Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M G Ramachandran Central Metro and platform 2 towards Chennai International Airport and St. Thomas Mount Metro. Well maintained and very clean. Stairs, elevators and lifts are there, so we can easily connect from the corridor to the platform.

This metro station Consist low parking availability . The frequency of the train availability will normal. Suggestion is to better go to aalandhar metro which is the next stop towards airport., hence you can have easy connectivity to both green and blue lines of the metro
Blue line - via cmbt
Green line - via Saidapet / Nanthanam

Good place and having all facilities of transportation even metro is also available.
Olympia building is software hub.
CIPET headquarters is there .

Ekkatutthangal Metro station was having ATM All time cash available and beside the station food Street Small Drive In Available and Station having Lift facilities, premises was clean and good,next station is Alandur metro. ....
