Absolutely remarkable experience!!! I cannot say enough good things about this tour. If you are lucky enough to get a good day and book the tour during sunset it will be one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life! I had no expectations going into this riverboat tour and let me just tell you we were blown away, a must do if you are visiting Chicago!
Few cities are known for their architecture and Chicago is one of it. This architecture toor is very well organized and the information presented by tour guide is very knowledgeable.
Plan your trip based on time. We planned it based on sunset time for both day/night views and it worked out for us. Sunset views are amazing.
If you have a vehicle, use the parking tickets provided by the tours company. We paid 12$ for entire day using the parking coupon they provided.

It was an amazing experience. The tour guide was really helpful and was very informative about the architectural buildings. We took 45 min tour cruise which we really enjoyed. They run the cruise in slow pace so we can enjoy the view. They have little bar inside where you can buy drinks in the lower level. They do have restrooms inside boat. Drinks were a bit pricey inside than outside in the street. Really enjoyed learning about buildings through cruise.
Took a cruise on Thurs Nov 9 2023, together with a local architect who always learns something new! Our docent was excellent: succinct, informative, and very good at setting up photo ops for us out-of-towners. Highly recommend as walking the streets to take in this enormous city would be impossible!
Have done this tour multiple times. It’s our go-to for entertaining out of town visitors. Always learn something new from the guide. Prefer the longer 90 minute option but the 45 minute tour is a great experience too. If you don’t spot hero get your parking ticket stamped for a discount. Line up early to get a seat on top.
This was by far the best way to see Chicago’s beautiful architecture and get a genuine feel for the city. Everyone I encountered was professional and kind, except for the two ladies manning the check-in table, they were obnoxious. The woman moderating the tour was outstanding, she had such a great personality and knew her information. There were hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages that were complimentary and anything alcoholic they had a small fee. I would totally recommend doing this tour.
Jim our tour guide was absolutely amazing! You can tell he’s very passionate and knows a ton about the city in regard to architecture and history! We had a great partly cloudy/partly sunny day. They provide complimentary coffee, water, and soft drinks - the lemonade was amazing! They also have alcoholic beverages to purchase and I may have seen someone with snacks (?). In case you’re worried about the sun, they have sunscreen available to use and there are two bathrooms on board. Overall this was a great great tour and I only wish we had done it earlier so we could admire the city and happenings sooner!
This place was GREAT! They had water,lemonade and coffee available GRATIS! They offer mixed drinks at the bar all downstairs. There is a bathroom w/two stalls for the ladies. The guide was pretty cool. Pointed out every building and provided architecture Knowledge. Chicago river only. Does not go to the lake. 1hr 1/2 and he never stopped educating us on the beautiful scenery. Loved his GREAT Chicago accent! This was very nice. Would highly recommend this cruise and would do it again in a snap!
