Upper Lake View

Had a nice time here, nothing much here but then this place is only for the view. Took some pics - small vendors are there selling wooden craft etc.

chill breeze

early morning around will make you feel euphoric

must to visit place

no entry ticket since it's a view from road

but less visited

it's just a platform to see it not much there as such

The Upper Lake Viewpoint is a beautiful location situated near the lake. We visited it in the new year of 2024, and despite the winter mist causing a somewhat unclear view, the weather and chill added to the beauty of the place.

You just get a drone view of the lake from here. A good spot where you cannot sit - But only stand and enjoy the view. Thanks to TN Govt for maintaining it in the worst possible way. Thank them for not charging anything to visit this place (It's located on the road side and hence they're not charging I guess). Giving 3 stars:

The view from this point is stunning and one of the best place to take photos of Kodaikanal town including the lake. Parking is limited and sometimes it is crowded

A spectacular view of the lake of Kodaikanal town from a height. You can see the moon clearly, the place has many shops to buy souvenirs and eatables or refreshments. It's a must visit point for tourists

Very crowded when we went there ....the view was pretty fantastic....even better than the closeup of the lake but yes you cannot take a picture peacefully at this place because its that crowded....there are some good tea stalls available nearby though which certainly made the view delicious!
