A lovely cosy restaurant with beautifully prepared food, and mouthwatering dishes- we found this restaurant by chance round the corner from our apartment - highly recommended for a lovely evening out. A real gem!

Very good food, we really enjoyed it. The food was interesting, nothing standard. The two deserts specifically (lemon and chocolate) were to die for!

Sorry but the food was certainly not to my liking . The gazpacho only tasted of spring onions - looked like a garden on top instead of it being a nice fresh starter - and my tuna - all I can say is that it should be sliced , it should be warm inside and pink , and presented well without the awful aubergine and again spring onions . I only had the taste of onions when I left the restaurant ! Well overpriced !

All food pre-cooked and served too quickly. Beef starter wasn't to my liking as Passion fruit vinaigrette didn't go with anchovy and beef. The egg starter was a nice idea but needed more work. Pork dish was tasteless, tough, and sad hunk off fat. Sea Bream was look warm alongside the cuscus Risotto with a bland cold white sauce puddings were lovely but guess they were bought in.

Outstanding food with fantastic service in a lovely restaurant. Really amazing flavours for vegetarian food. Can’t recommend enough.

Absolutely Brilliant!

The king is dead, long live the king!
[Well to be fair Franck Putelat hasn't passed on, but he might as well have done.]

All the talk now is about La Table de la Bastide. This chef is pushing boundaries that warrant Michelin attention. As I understand it, there is only one chef doing this, alone and without any other chefs. That's quite incredible to even come close to the big guns, the energy and the live and passion on display will be familiar to Mr Putelat. And yet we continue, the restaurant grows in customers, in reviews, in joy and in passion.

So let me lay it down clearly folks:

If you want to eat the most pleasurable, local and exciting food then you know where to find it: here.

This team is at the top of its game. It won't last long. We hope and pray that it is not destroyed by the 'chase for a star'.

So now is the time. Book in advance. Be certain that you got the best one!

... Et Bon Appétit!
