Wonderful spot to host an informal happy hour—one of the rare spots in DC where you don't need a downpayment or to hit a minimum, but can still get a reserved space for your office/party. Staff was very accommodating, kind, and organized!

I had a great time hanging out with my friends at this place after work. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, and the service was friendly and attentive. The drink selection was impressive, with a variety of beers and cocktails to choose from. The food was also delicious. We had a wonderful time at this place, and we would definitely come back again. It’s an excellent spot to hang out with friends after work. Great drink and food. Highly recommended!

Hosted a company happy hour here and it was great. The Admiral offered us our own space at the bar with no extra charge to us, and the bartenders/waitstaff were very attentive to our group. Looking forward to more happy hours here!

Wow, what an incredible experience. We hosted a happy hour event in the Bancroft Room for about 65ish people, and from start to finish, it was a flawless experience. Our event manager, Caroline, was incredibly kind and professional; she communicated with me before, after, and all throughout the event which kept everything running smoothly. Katie, our bartender, completely nailed it. She was putting out drinks with incredible speed all night long, and she had a smile on her face the entire time. 10/10 service.

This spot boasts a space wonderfully vast, with dive bar prices, a contrast that's cast. The drinks, however, rise above the norm, in quality and taste, they warmly inform. Great value found in every sip and bite, a balance of cost and delight just right. The food, though basic, surprises still, surpassing the bar fare with a skilled grill. It's best to view this place, all in all, as a bar where good food happens to call. A hidden gem where drinks and dining blend, making it a spot one would recommend.

I hosted my birthday brunch at the Admiral in their Bancroft bar, and it couldn't have been better! The manager, Caroline, and the entire staff was a true pleasure to work with. The food was fantastic and the space was perfect for my event of around 22 guests. I would highly recommend checking out the space for any special occasion! An added bonus that there is no room rental fee, and guests have their own tabs so closing out with a large party is a breeze. I will definitely be returning there soon.
