Hex old World Witchery is such an awesome place. They have a unique product line. Their statuary is beautiful! And I can't say enough about the owners and staff. They are friendly and always willing to help. I would recommend that anyone who visits New Orleans stop by Hex! They also have an equally amazing shop, Omen, in Salem, MA.

Hex is by far the best shop in the city. Hands down. My husband and I make a point to stop in every time we're in New Orleans. The staff is nice, the altar is beautiful, and everyone is so knowledgeable!
The spirit bottles are my personal favorite!

I went to get my tarot cards read, at the suggestion of a local friend. For $50 for 15 minutes, I expected a little bit of personal care or interest from the card reader. I heard her complaining loudly about being tired before she did my reading. No big deal, she’s a human, I still went into it with an open mind. She proceeded to shuffle the cards quickly and slap them down. She asked what question or topic I would like addressed, and then gave me a very generic and prescriptive reading based on that. She didn’t ask any questions, pause for me to take it in and interpret what she was saying. I asked a few questions about the decks she was using and got brief responses. I asked if it was ok to photograph my cards so I could remember the reading. She agreed, however every time she flipped new cards she quickly swept them away before I reminded her I wanted a photo. Anyway, the short of it is- I didn’t expect the most amazing thing ever, but still this fell way short. If nothing else, you’re paying for an experience and I didn’t get one.

Friendly staff, not intimidating like I’ve seen in some occult stores. They were approachable and pleasant, and the inventory was suited to my needs. The prices were not overly inflated as in some French Quarter tourist traps; they were similar to other stores outside of New Orleans. I will be returning.

They're a good variety of things here at a reasonable price . It's probably one of my favorite stores.

Wonderful, witchy store just a few blocks from Jackson Square. Terrific variety of herbs and oils, candles, books, crystals and pendulums, jewelry, artifacts and much more. Impressive collection of tarot and oracle decks - pick the one that calls to you! Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Really glad we had the opportunity to drop by.

Very good and well stocked occult store. From potions and cauldrons to books and brooms. They carry NOLA made voodoo dolls - different varieties for different occasions. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The altar is amazing, make sure you stop and check it out. A little on the expensive side but it's one of the tourist places. Highly recommend to include it in your places to visit while in New Orleans!
