The staff is incredible and went out of their way to accommodate my boyfriend’s eating intolerances. The food was good, but over priced. Some lettuce and a little sauce really shouldn’t cost $14. We still had a good time and enjoyed ourselves, but it’s not really worth the money.

Herbsaint has been in our list of restaurants to visit for sometime and we finally did it in our last visit to Nee Orleans. It was really worth the hype. We had a great experience with good service, good food and good drinks. We had an 8:45 reservation and were promptly seated. Everything we had was good. The gumbo was the best we had in New Orleans but the highlight was the Louisiana citrus salad with salsa macha and chèvre (it was mostly gone by the time we remembered to take a picture of it). For mains we had jumbo shrimp and the wagyu bavette steak. Both were very good. Overall, highly recommended.
Maybe a small point, but we really liked the way the wine list was organized based on the characteristics of each wine. That made selecting something that we liked very easy.

I am in New Orleans for the first time, visiting from Nashville. I have eaten at some fabulous restaurants around the country. I don’t leave reviews unless I feel it’s my duty to shout from the rooftops about one that EVERYONE should put at the top of her/his list as a must-do when in the area. Herbsaint is my New Orleans MUST-DO. The night I went, sous chef Lily and the kitchen crew, easily viewed through a large window open to the restaurant, looked like were barely stopping to take a breath as they cranked out one amazing dish after another and stunned me with five small plates of absolute heaven. A true chef goes beyond just getting food on a plate. You can feel the heart they put into building the flavors and beauty of each dish they send out of that kitchen. I felt it. And certainly savored every. Single. Bite.

Would definitely recommend. Small plates were excellent. Gumbo was probably the best I had in the city and I tried it everywhere. Fried oysters, ceviche, and the short rib were all very good, but the spaghetti was amazing. It is like a cacio e pepe with a fried poached egg on top. Will be back next time I'm in town.

P.S. you really need to try that spaghetti!

Another gem in NOLA.
Managed to get a last minute reservation for an early dinner. Staff is just amazing, except for a mistake in our wine order, they just did brilliantly - knowledgeable and helpful as possible.
Food is just top notch - even the gem lettuce salad was memorable. Chicken and wagyu Nanette dishes were probably our highlights - the most moist and tender meat we had.
Desserts were spot on two, especially the black Forrest cake.
Will definitely come back again.

Such a delicious and warm meal. We are visiting from FL and brought our 5 month old with us to lunch. We made a Google reservation and our service was excellent. We definitely felt welcomed and invited. I had the grilled chicken dish and it was excellent! My husband ordered the fish of the day and it was okay. The vegetable flavors were strange and really complex. We ordered drinks, a small plate of fried oysters and the black forest cake. Dessert was excellent, oysters excellent, and the drinks were tasty. I recommend the cosmo punch. We definitely would return. There are not many photos of everything else because the food was devoured. This spot is an indulgent lunch spot as we spent more than $150 for two. All the items were worth it.

The last time I was here was 9 years ago, but I’ve always remembered how delicious the food was and what a great experience I had here. So here we are 9 years later, I go back with high expectations and they are absolutely exceeded. The meal, the drinks, the service were all incredible. We tried almost every small plate, the spaghetti and the ceviche are my absolute favorite, my husband loved the spaghetti and the lamb skewer. We got the founder and the duck confit entrees and oh my goodness, they were both so incredible but the duck! I want to eat it every day, so tender, melts in your mouth and just so full of flavor. I came back from my trip and I’ve talked about this meal more than anything else we did! Can’t wait to go back, definitely won’t be 9 years this time.
