Unpleasant Experience at Kiva Galataport
My recent visit to Kiva Galataport left much to be desired. The initial service was marred by misinformation from the door staff regarding seating. Despite being told there was no space upstairs and reservations were needed, a fellow patron; after arguing that he and his guests’ secured an upstairs seat, revealing a misleading seating policy supposedly reserved for alcohol purchases.
The culinary experience was lackluster, with one dish featuring cold, if not frozen, fries. Bringing this to the staff’s attention resulted in a dismissive response, claiming the dish was meant to be warm, not hot, without an attempt to address the issue.
This experience reflects poorly on the Galataport dining scene and raises concerns about Kiva Galataport’s selective seating process. Such practices tarnish the overall dining atmosphere and should be reconsidered for a location like Galataport. I am sharing this feedback with Turkish tourism safety to ensure awareness of the subpar service and misleading practices at Kiva Galataport.

Do not recommended. They included in the bill compliments, and what we didn’t order (olives, bread, etc) and the not even tell you about it! It’s like a fraud, that you can’t avoid. They are shame on Turkish service and restaurants. Don’t go, pls do not support this frauds. Just go to another good Turkish restaurants.
🚨BE CAREFUL 🚨 They changed the menu that we ordered from and brought another one, then they doubled up our receipt by trying to charge us 3 mixed grill instead of just one. They charged us for the complimentary bread and olives, and when we tried to ask about it the manager said it’s also a charge for THE TABLE CLOTH. Food was below average, service is very slow. I’m surprised that they have a location in such a nice place. Please be aware and cautious.

I have had a lunch here with a big family. The food is good but the service is not good at all. Honestly, I was wondering why a restaurant in such location is literally empty when I entered. Once I went there I discovered why, and I don’t wish to anyone to have the same experience. However, if you insist to try it, double check the bill and make sure that they don’t manipulate it or add things things that out of the menu 🫤 Moreover, don’t expect any generosity from them, as the will charge you even the complementary bread and olives and the tea at the end. Nonetheless, I strongly recommend to find another restaurant.

We have eaten a lot around Istanbul and this place is definitely among the top 5! Excellent food, the staff is so nice and friendly, yet professional! We are looking forward to coming back!
