Great beach access that is not quite as crowded as the main siesta parking lot (but this lot does fill quickly on busy weekends).
The strength of this beach is the quality of sand: White fine sand that doesn't hurt your feet. And lots of it! This is a huge beach and it's plenty busy.
This is my favorite access to Siesta Key Beach. Street parking but when available I jump on it. Plenty of shaded tables near by. Foot showers and a deck leading to foot path to the beach. Opens to a part of the beach that is less people dense even on the most crowded days. But hey.. keep it a secret!
Siesta keys beach is the most beautiful beach. With clear water and white sands.
Soft, cool crystalline white sand and clear, turquoise water, warm right now in September. Calm and relaxing, very healing.
Beautiful!!!! First time visiting Sarasota area and siesta beach. A lot of people here! But.. beach area is huge so it's not crowded at all! Sunset is must see! Gorgeous!
If you do go during the day make sure to have a lot of sunscreen lol it's baking hot sun here! I did get burned after the first day 😞

I am not quite sure why they have a separate designation for what is essentially Siesta Key Beach. I like the north end of the beach because it's usually less crowded in the off season and it's a shorter walk from the parking lot. The down side, it's further from the facilities, but no matter where you are the same cool white sand, royal terns, pelicans, and warm, shallow surf await you.
