Budds Creek Motocross Park

What can I even say!? It’s Budds Creek! An awesome place to ride and have some fun. Or come for the races and watch. It’s a classic venue that’s been around forever. Go check it out!

The parking was not bad when I showed up what confused me were the three start gates I had to walk through before I had arrived where I was intended to be. Upon arrival I received a pseudo inspirational semi propaganda filled speech before I was told where I actually wanted to be was 6.2 miles away. Having gone through 3 gates, I figured I'd gone this far already so I continued. Let me tell you what what followed was an unrelenting journey through some of the most treacherous terrain I have ever encountered and I hike on the regular. I was lucky enough to happen into a few people in the same position as me and we journey together. Once it started to rain moral started to wain for our journey but we pressed on. All of us were confused why we had to climb through a menthol filled gas tunnel along with what I can only assume was the legal limit to water boarding in the state. Wild for a ticket that costs $175. We eventually got to where we were ment to be some 2 hours later. Some stranger clapped for us handed a headband and a shirt... oh wait they say tough mudder not motor cross this makes sense. Overall good community, not family friendly. 9 14/16 out of 10.

Great experience for all ages. Wear your comfortable clothing because you’re sure to get dirty and do a lot of walking but you’ll be able to get some great views of the races.

Budds 2023 pro nationals always a great time. Weather was perfect!!!

It was great to back at Budds. The good. The track crew did a great job with the rain. The bad. Too much of watering the faces of jumps. The ugly. I realize it's MX and there are risks. But when multiple people wreck on the same jump or same section of the track something should be done before someone gets hurt. The face of the jump was fixed as they carted my son off to the waiting ambulance then to the helicopter. I'm thankful my son will recover. We will be back. Prayers to all the racing family that left Budd this weekend with injuries. Thank you to Mr. Beasley for having us back. Hope it will happen again next year and we all will learn from this year.

I love Budds Creek. I go there every year to watch the the Lucas oil AMA national motocross races. This is an excellent venue for viewing as much of the track is in a bowl and you are elevated and can see a lot of the track.

One nit: I arrived much later than I normally do is normally due probably around is around 10:45 AM. The gate drop on the main events starts at 1 PM. There were 2 lines 1 for prepurchased purchased tickets and one for buying tickets. The pre purchased ticket line was twice as long and took almost an hour to get through. With the right processes and technology it should take a fraction of that time. I urge the management to review and improve their customer customer entry process.

I raced a vintage MX (ACR-AHRMA) at Budds Creek Motocross. Beautiful track that is very technical with lots of hills and off-camber turns. Puts have a great view of nearly the entire track. The staff was friendly and top-notch. I would definitely go again.

Budds Creek MX is absolutely amazing. The owner is a great man! We traveled 3hrs for my sons 5th Birthday, and the hospitality he showed us we will never forget! Nice peewee track, a little slippery from mud but that’s what makes the best riders! We will definitely visit budds creek every summer from here on out. Thank you!
