I’m going to start by saying that Mark (the owner) is a pretty nice guy and very involved. Many of the therapists and staff at the residential facility are also very kind and responsible professionals.
Now, the outpatient facility down the road is a whole other story. I worked for these guys for three years and they trained me. Sometimes they will pick on clients and tear them down as a method of intervention.
In 2021 the clinical director was having bad days all the time. She would get into yelling matches with her husband over the phone in her office. I remember her standing up in a staff meeting and commenting that she couldn’t wait to take out her frustrations on a client that was going to be ejected for violating rules. It was unethical, the way she would allow her personal stress to spill into her work. I kept my nose to the grind and ran a majority of the clinical groups during the week. The outpatient director (as mentioned above) was very removed from direct clinical groups but would quickly involve herself in a punitive role. Very authoritarian. All I can say is that clients are playing rush and roulette at this outpatient facility. Some people love it. But some people really get picked on inappropriately by clinical director, Erica Ross. It wasn’t client-centered in many instances.
And if you’re thinking of working here, as a professional- make sure that you’re playing golf with Mark (the owner).
