Very good food for the price. The drinks are also acceptable. The real reason to come here is for the superior vibe and film history and posters.

Amazingly designed cafe, with movie posters all around. Great atmosphere, and the owner is very attentive and helpful. Ordered a tuna melt, which came beautifully presented. Very reasonably priced, would recommend for everyone.

Quirky neighbor cafe run by a delightful owner! Talking Heads playing in the background, excellent movie posters, memorabilia and tchotchkes galore, solid coffee game and “celebrity” toast dishes. Came with a free Mario & Luigi photo shoot 🤣 Most definitely set our moods straight for a day of exploring exquisite Kyoto.

Movie lovers will feel awesome here. The owner is really nice. The coffee was really good and so was the toast. I very much recommend this place.

An absolute hidden gem in Kyoto, if you’re in need of a day to recharge your batteries, to relax, or you love movies come here! The walls have numerous movie posters with sound tracks playing from famous movies in the background. The food is very comforting and prepared fresh, paired with the always smiling owner and you’ll definitely leave feeling warm and cozy. On top of all that the owner will hand you cards with Japanese phrases on them, so you can practice your Japanese a bit!

Amazing small cafe, movie themed, I had nice late breakfast with black tea, I've heard that the owner bakes his own bread, and coffee supposed to be really good. If you like movies you need to drop by.

Let me start off by saying this cafe is wonderful and holds a very special place in my heart. Second, I'd like to make a request for anyone who goes to the cafe after reading this. While I was at the cafe eating the absolutely delicious toast and breakfast set, I wrote down names of movies from a few of the posters up on the walls. I have since watched the movies that I wrote down, and all of them have been PHENOMENAL. Now I am deeply regretting not taking a picture of each of the walls of the cafe so I could look back over the other posters and slowly make my way through watching each of the movies featured in the owner's impeccable collection. If anyone visiting can reply to this post with their own pictures of the cafe walls that show the movie posters, I would so so appreciate it! Also, definitely go to this cafe if you have the chance and please enjoy the owner's fresh baked bread for me. I miss it already!
