Rushden Medical Centre

A text message was sent out to patients with a BMI over 30 stating about Obesity including risks and asking about weight management. This was out of the blue and not following an appointment. Personally I think RMC need to be a bit more sensitive or choose a different format to raise their concerns. This text made me feel rubbish after an already exhausting and low week and could’ve been detrimental to anyone already experiencing mental health. I understand the message was important but wrong format and come across as unnecessary and rude. Along with a load of other reasons, I will now be looking for a GP elsewhere.

Congratulations Rushden Medical Centre on receiving the worst practice in Northamptonshire award this week. If your new to the area please steer clear; the most unprofessional and uncaring surgery around. They can't offer appointments to their current patients, so why advertise for new patients outside the surgery?

I would recommend to leave this place ASAP. Over 2 years I havent seen GP face to face - only phone appointments. They send you to do basic blood tests and if they fine you should be fine too :D. Every time I am sick I need to fly to my country to see private GP, which is able to find what is wrong with extra tests or scans. Worst surgery ever ! No care what so ever. I just wish that people working there will receive same treatment and care when they will need it the most !

What an absolute disgrace this surgery is .
You could be dieng of Cancer , be seriously ill Old , infirm , disabled, mentally ill. It would make no difference. No Empathy, unprofessional.
I am speaking from experience as a carer for somebody with progressive MS.
I have dealt with four different surgeries and Rushden being my surgery unfortunately.
As a cancer patient I had a discussion with my cancer doctor at Northampton General Hospital two weeks ago on the subject of “ Late diagnosis of Cancer patients “.
During my treatment I have spoke to several patients attending the Chemotherapy suite.
We al had a Cancer diagnosis later than we should have done .
I did not even attempt to make an appointment at Rushden medical centre when I should have done after finding a lump in my neck in December 2022.
The reason, totally lost faith in the local GP system.I choose to go via my Private Dentist. Result, prompt appointment, correct diagnosis and an appointment at Maxi facial at KGH.within two weeks.
My fellow cancer patients had delays of six months,two of which had to pay and go private just to provide the basic and correct diagnosis.
The conversation with my Cancer surgeon confirmed my findings.
“Yes, unfortunately due to the inadequate basic care at your local GP surgery has not helped many patients with serious or life threatening conditions “

The WORST doctors practice! If I could give less that 1 star I would, the care at the practice is disgusting. The doctors and receptionists don’t care and you can never get an appointment.

Although I'm in agreement with some of the comments IV read,I must say that the clinician I have dealt with is both highly professional and caring ,so too are most of the nurses although there is one exception. I have been made to feel Uncomfortable seeing a nurse due to feeling targeted after I can only surmise that I offended one of the nursing staff ,she has gone above and beyond to let me know her dissaproval ,which I find is ver unprofessional . I'm in the process of a complaint but my last one never seem to be took seriously. Adnitt rd doctors do have good staff but a few bad ones create a problem.

Worst surgery ever they have no sympathy and no care what so ever. Never had a good experience receptionist are rude not been able to walk for 4 months and they still haven't referred me for mri and this has always been the way even before covid. I’d like the practice manager to get in contact because it is not acceptable
