We have been going to this practice since the children were in preschool and now they are in high school. Unfortunately, something has changed in the last 18 months, appointments are often cancelled at last min and care has been inconsistent. Twice my kids showed up for appointments only to hear the dentist was sick or out and we hadn't been notified. After yet another cancellation last week, we switched to a new dentist and just learned that things we thought had been taken care of were not done.

The schedulers are very rude I wish I could give them zero stars. My son after the treatment and anesthesia was so drowsy and dizzy. So, I was trying to talk with Dr. But unfortunately, while I called the schedulers, did not transfer my call to the Dr. Also did not receive the call from Doctor for another 2 hours. And I tried to call again the Doctor, but they direct my call to an automatic call system. Which is very disgusting and unacceptable. Again today dated 05/24/2022 the Bethesda dental specialties wasted our time and canceled my kid's appointment because we were 3 minutes late and then after 30 minutes a lady called and she was telling me if I take the kids back to the dentist at Bethesda dental specialties they would be seeing and examining my kids, which is frustrating and a big shame for BDS.

So, please stay away from this scam BDS.

Bringing my kids in to see Dr. Chehab was one of the best choices I’ve made as a parent. I had been taking my children to another practice closer to our home and it was an awful experience for my one son in particular. I decided to make the haul down to Bethesda Dental Specialties. Not only was Dr. Chehab so great with the kids but the entire staff was engaging and extremely helpful with making them all feel comfortable. She answered all my questions thoroughly and when we left and got in the car one of my sons said “I love that place!”. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a child (or adult for that matter) say that about a dentist. Overall it was a great experience and we will be coming here for all future dental needs!

The dentist was rude and uncaring, he does not even try to communicate with the kids. He held down my son forcefully. I and my son had the worst experience. Even if you call and let then know, they still cancel your appointment if you are few minutes late and they don't even bother to call you it is cancelled. It all about the bottom line for him. This happened a while back and it still bothers me. I had to cancel my association with them after 2 visits.
I had to say something. I am happy with may Capital kids dentistry now. I highly them.

Had a great experience! My 5 year old loves going to the dentist and liked her first visit here. My 2year old had his first visit and while he was not happy about being there, they were so nice and friendly and fun to him. I believe they have great and caring staff! The waiting area is a little small, but my kids loved the fish. Everything from reception to check out was great. I was very impressed with the staff!

We have been going here for years but we really love the new doctors. And Dr. Wiels did my son's cleaning herself since last time he was too nervous (he is 9 and has had issues with gagging). It was the best experience he has had at the dentist! She was a little late (15 min) but she didn't rush him at all and took time to be sure he was okay. He loved her. My daughter (11) also had a great experience. She never had issues in the past, but really liked the hygienist who was very friendly and thorough.
