Look, this is *mostly* an Apple Store now (and a good one with free photography classes, etc.), but it is still a museum and it has a few very good exhibits. My favorite is a large picture in the basement of the immediate area from a plane in 1991 or so. The entire area then was a series of parking lots and crumbly buildings. How far it has come!

The history of this building is just something fabulous. It's crazy that just three months ago, I found out it was an Apple Store. Definitely took me by surprise. I remember the remodeling. I remember the reconstruction I remembered the refacing of this building. This place is a historical landscape. I am so glad that they put it in the hands of a company that will definitely take care of it.. You can not let our history completely die or tear it down. There is a small visitor center Upstair. I've been to the carnegie museum in Pittsburgh
As a child was definitely an experience. You guys have any Time to visit any his places highly suggeste

The DC Carnegie Library is a historic landmark in Washington, D.C. that has been transformed into a modern Apple flagship store. The building was originally built in 1903 with funding from Andrew Carnegie, and it served as the city's central library for many years. In 2019, the library closed for a two-year renovation, and it reopened in 2021 as an Apple store.

The Apple Carnegie Library is a beautiful example of Beaux-Arts architecture. The exterior is made of white marble, and the interior features a soaring rotunda with a skylight. The store which is on the first floor is home to a wide variety of Apple products, as well as a Genius Bar for technical support. There is also a space called the Forum that is used for events and workshops.

In addition to being an Apple store, the DC Carnegie Library is also a museum of DC history which is on the second floor. The store features a number of exhibits about the library's history, as well as the history of DC. There are also interactive displays that allow visitors to learn about the city's past. Some of the collection was moved to the MLK library a few blocks away to make room for apple.

Overall, the DC Carnegie Library is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or Apple products. The store is a beautiful and historic landmark that has been thoughtfully restored and repurposed.

Here are some of the pros and cons of the DC Carnegie Library:

Pros:

Beautiful Beaux-Arts architecture

Wide variety of Apple products
Forum for events and workshops
Museum of DC history

Cons:

Can be crowded, especially on weekends

Not as much selection of Apple products as some other Apple stores

Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the DC Carnegie Library. It is a beautiful and historic landmark that has been thoughtfully restored and repurposed. Whether you are interested in Apple products, history, or architecture, you are sure to enjoy your visit.

The Carnegie Library I visited for Mac service proved to be a reliable and convenient destination for all my Apple-related needs. As a hub for technology enthusiasts and Mac users, the library seamlessly combines its historical charm with modern services, providing a unique and welcoming environment. The service center was well-equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform a range of Mac repairs. From software updates to hardware replacements, the staff demonstrated competence and efficiency in handling various service requests. The availability of genuine Apple parts further added to the reliability and quality of the repairs performed.

The Carnegie Library offers more than just Mac service. It serves as a vibrant community space, with a range of resources and activities to engage visitors. From a vast collection of books to workshops and events, the library fosters an environment that encourages learning and exploration.

Used to be one of the first library in DC historical place, small but elegant. Second floor is a museum and bookstore. First floor is a contemporary apple store.

It is the location is great, near convention center, chinatown, metro station, Marriott hotel, and a lot of cafe. ~Eric

Love the building. I can’t imagine another retailer doing what apple did. As an Apple Store same as you would expect. The DC museum portion was closed while we were there. Visit the lower level and heck out the history of the space. Very interesting.
