It is not a really big market but it has a lot of market stalls hosted inside. The variety of the products sold is huge, from paints and souvenirs, to food, vegetables and fruits, bakeries, fish and meat. For sure it worth visiting as a tourist in order buy a local souvenir or to find something to eat. Of course local options available.
Friday market is really good for shopping as it has excellent variety of goods on offer. Fresh fruit/vegetables, fish, clothing, household hardware, electrical, vacuum cleaner spares, deli, hot food and craft goods. The market traders are friendly and helpful. Definitely a good day out with some bargains to be had.
Due to the Covid-19 there's more room between the lanes so less crowded and more enjoyable

Great food, music at true atsmophere of Belfast!
Good bus stop, with little waiting times for buses. Can be busy at times.
