This place is fantastic. It's a small, amateur gallery that has very professional work on a rotating basis. One of my favorite galleries to check out each First Friday ArtWalk. Run by volunteers from the UMVA, it consistently has high-quality work from a diverse group of Maine artists.
UMVA Gallery always has a new interesting art show up for each First Friday in both summer and winter. Start your art collection today by buying from the artists who show at this gallery. Most shows have gallery hours of 1 pm to 5 pm each Saturday & Sunday.
This gallery, run completely by volunteers, represents members of the Union of Maine Visual Artists, one of Maine’s oldest non-profit arts organizations. The exhibition schedule is ambitious and diverse, changing monthly.
