It has been a while since I visited city hall. The biggest change was after you get directions from the pleasant person at the information desk, you get to empty your pockets, go through the scanner, have your bag checked quickly by the security personnel and then go on your way. BUT on the positive side, you do not have to remove footwear.

The modern "new" City Hall is an attractive complex with an interesting architectural design - two curved towers around a central domed building, said to resemble a giant unblinking eye from above! It is free to enter the foyer of the complex and I would suggest you do, if only to view the Metropolis on the right side wall of the foyer area. It is an intriguing art piece fashioned from more than 100,000 nails!
After watching the construction of Toronto’s City Hall in 1965, I decided to finally take a look inside. The building still has that 1967 expo vibe when Canada celebrated its 100th year of confederation birthday with its large curved column and central podium.

But this modern building design had both praise and ridicule after being built. One mayor in the 70’s from Alberta called Toronto’s city hall looked like a large ‘Urinal’ and that nick name stuck for a few years. Now the building’s structure is referred to as an eye when looking down from above.

It is sort of fitting that public bathrooms have once again flushed itself back to become a hot topic for Toronto’s city hall.

If you like my reviews, photos or videos then take a shot at the like button and don’t splash all over the place. lol

Let me share with you a set of photos of Toronto in the summer. After reading these photos, you should be able to understand why people like Toronto, right? [doge] Summer in Toronto is full of energy and laughter. In Toronto, a very tolerant city, you can always find a place where you can feel comfortable.

Visited there during the night time. It was great because of the light they had. The city center has an amazing views of great building architecture of city hall surrounded by landmark structures. It’s a great place to go for a walk and experience Toronto downtown.

Visited this place so many times and it feels new each time I visit. This place is home for many events during summer and has a nice big rink for ice skating in winter. One of the must visit places in Toronto.
