Nice free zoo but would like to see the chain link fence replaced with glass or plastic for easier photo taking
We love the zoo! I love learning all about the animals from the volunteers. They have a wealth of knowledge! It is so big so I recommend getting a membership so that you can see it all slowly. It’s such a great way to spend a big part of your day outside. Lots of picnic tables to choose from. I love how there’s lots of fun “playground” areas for the kids everywhere.
Kids love it, great fun and that’s why it deserves our 5 stars rating. Good animals variety. Make sure you visit all sections. Will take you around 4 hours + lunch time (fast food options are available). If you are a new comer make sure to use your Canoo app discount. You get free admission. Best time to visit, in my opinion, is end of Spring or beginning of Autumn
We went to the zoo as part of the city pass. It was decent. I really liked the indoor buildings they had. The zoo mobile was a little lack luster, we didn’t see that many animals with it. Parking was $15 and must be purchased at the green buildings near the entrance.

Fantastic place to spend a day out. All the animals kept in the zoo are in abundance and not merely a sample of their species. Only reason I give one star less is they have a parking charge which is quite hefty. Given the crowds they attract, the zoo management should have ideally thought about rationalizing it if not remove completely.
It’s a great place to stay and enjoy the waterfront. There is a big sandpit with umbrellas and chairs where you can sit and feel like at the beach. The view is gorgeous and there are tons of other things to do around the area. Water taxis to the islands are a few meters away if you decide to enjoy a real sandy beach instead. The only downside is the smell of cannabis sometimes can be overwhelming.
It's a great place to watch the annual air show. There's easy access to highways, and the public parking fee is reasonable, but it fills up quickly during the weekend after 10am. It's a fantastic spot for a picnic or a family gathering.
Had lost of fun with the kids spending the day there. We were there on a weekday and it was crowded. Early morning when the park opened, there were no wait lineups, but noon onwards, it was an hour wait for some rides. Highly recommend for kids between 5 and 10 years old.
The Toronto zoo is a really nice place to spend time in nature. We went there with family and had a great time. We actually started with a nice cheese pizza at the first stop of the hop on- hop off 😉. The exhibits of animals were really nice. One sad thing was to see animals in confinement do not augur well for me 😢. But the saving grace was that animals were taken well care of .
The Hop On- Hop Off train rides to each of the sections were really good. They explained the family chain of animals and the history of the zoo which was fabulous. Overall a very well spent day.

Wonderful park. Very peaceful. You can spend all day exploring. Very romantic, very beautiful! Sit down and admire nature and the work of countless gardeners! Walk and exercise! Have a picnic! I could go back 5 times a week!
I planned to spend a couple hours turned out to be a full day. If you have younger kids aged 4 to 10 they will have a blast all day long.
Pack your water a change of clothes and get ready for fun. It can be very busy but i was under prepared and quite excited to speand the full day for a 1st time visit. You will love it

There are a couple different animals to be seen, pretty great to see if you are already visiting High Park, especially considering access is free. Please note that you may not be able to see all animals at all times as the pens are pretty large and animals may be hidden.
Very nice park, well kept, a lot of trails to walk in and many different scenery to see throughout the park. It is even possible to see a lot of wildlife including small critters and the infamous Canadian Goose, a complete change of pace from the big city all around the park! There are a lot of infrastructures available for activities including a pool and tennis courts. Numerous places are available to have a little picnic. I highly recommend visiting this place at least once, for tourists and locals alike.
Place was awesome. So much greenery and freedom to walk and browse. I loved how everything was catered to the environment instead of knocking down nature for human enjoyment. The rides were perfect for our 4yo and pricing was within reason. Would recommend avoiding ferry or leaving early-ish to avoid the wait times
LIFE HACK: if you want free rides, go to the line up area for the ferry. In that area, there will be tons of all access bracelets on the ground. Just grab one of those, and boom! Free rides for life baby! All jokes aside, this is a very fun experience for young children but I wouldn’t recommend it for kids over 11 years old. The ferry lines are long, and overall, the rides aren’t that good(except for the scrambler)

It's a good park and spacious. I see that there are bikes to rent to use, bike lanes and lots of good things. Haven't explored much of it yet, because I've always just gone as supervising the children. I've only gone to the splash pad and park.

This park has paved paths and is great for those jogging, cycling or just strolling. You'll find this park perfect for those who want to lay down on the grass and watch the planes land on the island airport.
During summer months, there's a stage setup for live music and events.
Great for exercise. Nice to visit.
Would come again.

The zoo was an amazing experience to get to see a bunch of different animals from across the world. I would recommend buying tickets in person so you can take advantage of the presto card savings. Parking was 15$ but I think it’s pretty fair considering how long you’ll spend there.

On Lake Ontario, beautiful park with lots of trees, greenery and swans. Just close to bus stops and the waters.
Lovely place, lots of walking. Amazing seeing all the animals. Seeing the enjoyment and happiness they brought my children made my day. My 4 year old hasn't stopped talking about the white handed gibbon and the noises it was making.
We participated in the "Love Scarborough" event where we raised money for the Scarborough Hospitals. This event was celebrated at the Toronto Zoo, so participants were given entry. However, the visit left me feeling profoundly disappointed. Observing the animals in a tired and subdued state was disheartening. Their lack of energy and apparent unhappiness cast a somber atmosphere over the experience. This was quite unlike my previous visits to the zoo, where I hadn't encountered such feelings.
Aside from the state of the animals, another aspect of the visit that struck me was the exorbitant cost of food and beverages. From my morning coffee and breakfast to the available lunch options, the prices were notably high.
Additionally, I found that the zoo staff appeared uninformed about the benefits and perks that were supposed to be offered to those who were participating in the Love Scarborough event. This lack of awareness caused us to miss out on certain advantages, including the shuttle service. Given my medical condition, I was particularly hoping for a convenient ride back to the front gate, but unfortunately, this option wasn't available. As a result, the return trip proved to be quite a struggle for me.

Visited this place with my family last Saturday. You have to buy a ticket to ride the rides, and if you don't get on the rides, you can go around freely. The rides are good for small children to ride. 5 years old - around the lower elementary grades. My soon-to-be middle-aged son bought an all-day ticket, but only rode three. It was a pity that there were no rides like Wonderland. But I was able to rest quietly and it was nice to have a picnic.
I visited Center Island on a Sunday of the long weekend and took the ferry to get there. The ferry ride was reasonable both in terms of cost and convenience, and I'd recommend purchasing tickets online for a smoother experience. However, the return trip had an unreasonable wait, especially with kids in tow, though I suppose that's in line with the price. Water taxis were an alternative option, but at $13.50 per passenger each way, they weren't the most cost-effective choice. The rides on the island weren't exceptional, and the prices for kids were a bit steep, but they did seem to enjoy them. The food quality was rather low, but I hadn't expected much in that department. On the plus side, beer prices were reasonable. Despite the drawbacks, I'd still recommend a visit, especially if you've never been, as it provides a unique experience.
A great place for a nice walk or run. I thoroughly enjoy walking through this park. Great views of the lake. An awesome place for picnic with family or just for alone time. Recent additions to the park with strategically placed artifacts for games and book reading makes it all the more awesome!!!
Absolutely breathtaking! The park’s Lakeview combined with the stunning city skyline creates a picturesque and serene setting. Perfect for a relaxing stroll or a peaceful afternoon by the water. Highly recommended for nature lovers and cityscape enthusiasts!

Visited the place with my kids on weekend. The place is well maintained and there is no entry fees.
There are few animals currently as there is development work going on. However, it is still good learning opportunities for kids. Peacocks are big attractions as you don’t see them at many places in Canada.

Beautiful park with lots of greenery, beach, play area for kids and a little “zoo” with some kid-friendly animals. There are maps to guide you which route to take to get where, and some ice cream and hot dog stands for snacks. Parking is difficult. You will have to park somewhere else and walk down but not too bad. There are parking spots available in walking distances.
Pretty nice gardens, some large willow trees, flowers, a little river, and other things. There’s bathrooms on site, a cafe, paid parking ($2/hr in 2023) but free admission. Seems pretty busy on a weekend. There are some rules regarding dogs/pets and picnics - as in, you can’t bring them and you can’t have them. Nice place for a walk. Some paths are accessible but there’s also lots of places with stairs.
Great place that brings back memories of my childhood. Free parking during the weekdays. Relaxing for lunch or a walk. Some very good activities for kids;wading pool, playground, public pool. Electric bikes as are also available. Washrooms are nastalgic, never upgraded since I was a kid.
This park is lovely and has great views of the city! It was a little hazy when we went but that didn’t bother us. There’s also a pool, change rooms, showers, lifeguards at the beach, a park and we had some Pizza Pizza there as there was a large stand there.
A rainy start on a weekday made all the difference! No lineups (except the Ferris wheel) made for a fun day for a 2 1/2 year old. The only downside was a statement we read that said as long as there’s an adult, a child can ride and that’s not true. There are height restrictions so wait until they are at least 3 feet tall if you want to ride them all. We brought snacks but also bought lunch at the burger place and it was very reasonable. Cheaper than that Golden Arches place and much tastier. Splash pad was a great way to cool off later in the day. The farm animals and ducks were a hit. We were sad the train wasn’t running but all in all a successful day. One suggestion: have a separate line for prepaid customers.
We visited the zoo on a weekend and were pleasantly surprised to find out that admission was free. The zoo offered the option to donate funds to support the care of various animals and birds, which we gladly took advantage of. While we initially had some difficulty finding parking, we eventually found on-street parking and had an overall enjoyable experience. The zoo also had food trucks available, which offered a great selection of ice cream and other delicious snacks.

It's a nice scenic place. Imagine to spend at least 2 hrs as the walking is there and you stop for photos and reading. You can even do a small picnic. No Bbq. I wish there was a description for plants and names. it's there for some, but not for most. There is a small cafe, they dont have pops though and the menu is limited. You might want to carry some food, especially with kids. Paid parking is available. Could not visit the garden shop due to the time, may be next time, but I could see they sell some plants/flowers, momentos etc.

The zoo is a fun place for families and friends. Wear comfortable walking shoes, stay hydrated and have fun. There is lot of food and drinks on sale throughout the 700 acres of land. There is adequate parking. Lots of picnic areas, washrooms and vending machines throughout. It's definitely worth it to buy your tickets and parking online to avoid the lines. When it's too hot, the animals tend to stay in their enclosure or just lie around. Still always a great place to spend time with the family.
Wow, I had the most amazing day with my family here... Walking in the woods, hearing all kind of creatures sounds and especially breathing fresh air which is extremely unwinding.

A fun, safe trail, accessible to all. Beautiful views of the CN Tower and Toronto skyline and also planes taking off from the island airport. Zero cost. Plenty of seating along the way as well as many cultural and natural points of interest.
I like exploring parks in summer and I found Trinity Bellwoods Park with such a fresh vibe. Music and activities soothing the surrounding. Wonderful picnic spot in your neighbourhood.
Love taking my son here on days off. You can make a donation, there is the animals in the zoo and a wooden playground within walking distance. Cars cannot enter the park on weekends so you will have to find surrounding street parking. During the week cars are able to enter the grounds and usually there is lots of parking from my experiences.
Beautiful park with easy access by street car. You can see ppl playing tennis, frisbee and other sports with great playing area for youngsters and kids as well!! Beautiful place to see the sunset during summer evening!
Get a 20% discount on admission when you give them your presto card seems like a better option than buying online/in advance if you don’t mind a little bit of a wait.

This park was such an unexpected gem. So many trails, and e-bikes available for rent. There was a swimming pool, baseball fields, and we were pleasantly surprised with a free zoo inside the park. Overall this was a great park and definitely a fun place to spend some time outside enjoying nature right in the middle of the city.
Very nice park and surrounding area. Quite surprised at how lush and diverse the forest is considering it's in downtown Toronto. The free zoo was entertaining and the gardens were beautiful.
Be advised... it is quite hilly. Definitely worth it, just make sure you're ready for it.

I finally found it and loved it! I can't believe there is a small zoo here. It was very nice and quiet walk through. My husband and I had a very good time seeing peacocks, bison and my favorite llamas. Plus its not a far walk to bloorwest village to grab some food and coffee. There is a BBQ shop in high park as well. We brought water and food as we knew we be outside for awhile. I honestly had a good time here and will probably be back because I love animals so much.
This area of the beach is always busy in the summer time. The pool is named after my Uncle Gus Ryder. He was marilyn bell's trainer first woman to swim across lake ontario. The pavilion is where people would gather to swim in the lake Over a hundred years ago.
It's fun for little kids and a great educational space to learn about various animals around the world. Maybe it's the time of year we went, not too many animals are out on display. There's some nice boardwalks and pathways throughout that make for a scenic walk. Definitely a good way get steps in!

Absolutely must visit, so worth it! Doesn’t feel like you’re in Toronto. Beautifully well kept, there’s tons of trails for walking, biking and spots to enjoy nature. The restrooms were clean. There’s fishing, a zoo and tons of little animals like chipmunks, squirrels, ducks and Canadian geese.. perfect spot for a picnic, to walk your dog or just sit and read a book in the sun! Highly recommend!
I went there for the first time this Saturday, now it is in my go to list for a no plan day. I love how you can forget / talk to yourself at this place surrounded with the nature. The art is also beautiful.. specially the Toronto skyline is amazing. Couldn’t watch the sunset, not sure if we can though..
Such a beautiful place. We were at peace. Slow winds and setting sun made it more romantic for us than ever.❤️🥂 It was quite clean.
As a photographer this is a very great and cool park also the location is great because without the park there would be a huge street it’s also useful from my house to the rental car place you don’t need to stop that much due to its huge size but when you exit you have to wait at the sidewalk to cross the street you also see squirrels and types of birds at the park the park offers biking and walking I decided to also run for steps this park has a very convenient location too! I’ve been here at trinity bell-woods park they have a playground too and a picnic table! This is the best park I’ve visited.

The zoo services are awful.
The worst are the zoo mobile and membership services.
The zoo mobile is supposed to come every 15 minutes according to signs. If you ask any zoo mobile staff in how much time is the next zoo mobile coming, they'll tell you in 10-15 minutes or 15-20 minutes, and you end up waiting 45 minutes or 1 hours before seeing the next zoo mobile. It's not a one off issue. It has been the case each time I visited the zoo and waited for the zoo mobile. Once I even left after waiting more than 1 hour at the main station without seeing a single zoo mobile coming by. Many other people left as well.
The membership services is even worst, especially the HEAD OF MEMBERSHIP of the zoo. That person is a very rude lady who talks loudly to humiliate you in front of all other staff and guests/clients/members. She tells you that the value of a membership is 2 entries at the zoo. You don't need to be a genius to understand that the value of a yearly membership is from day 1 to day 365, and not 2 entries at the zoo. It is normal to expect an acceptable level of services for what is included in the membership package. And when you complain, they don't care. They just take your money and do not care whether or not they are able to provide an acceptable level of service. They do nothing to make up for it.
Management is not even on the ground to see how things are going on, and how to make things better for guests/clients/members.
Moreover, when comparing last year's membership which included zoo mobile access, for this year you will have to pay about 60% more if you want a membership which includes the zoo mobile access. 60% increase is a huge amount.
For those who never went to the zoo, it's worth paying a day pass ticket and spending the whole day visiting the zoo.

It is a fun place to be, slightly on the costlier side though as full day ticket for rides is around 40-45 CAD per person. Rides are good and mostly entertain kids, though no one stops grown ups from having some fun. Some rides have height restrictions.

This is surely one of the best public parks in the city of Toronto. Not only is it situated in a nice part of town, but you honestly can't even tell that you are in a large urban metropolis. There's so many different trees and wildlife in the park. There are also tennis courts and a swimming pool and kilometers of cycling trails. It's great for walking hiking picnics. It's also pet friendly, so it's a great place to walk your dog or bring your kids to play. The park offers so much to see and there are so many different areas within the park that you can easily spend the whole weekend at the park and not have covered it all. There is also the High Park zoo, which has a good variety of animals for kids and adults alike! For anyone who lives in the city as well as for visitors, this is a must-see free activity!

Absolutely one of the most stunning Gardens I have ever been too. It's so crazy that it is absolutely free so please donate. A great place to take a date or your family and just enjoy the beauty of the nature there. The grounds were well manicured and amazing!
I have been here multiple times and every time I enjoyed so much. View is so mesmerizing and skyline is so beautiful. You can enjoy and watch planes landing so closely. There is a sunset point near by. You can ride your bicycle and do jogging. The Illumni was hosted over here in winters.
Love strolling around this garden. Always something new to see. Different flowers and trees depending on time of year. Love that it has washrooms and snacks. Parking is easy. Sadly it's pay parking now but most things are. Recommend checking it out.

Beautiful park honoring the Hungarian refugees who fled their country in 1956, fleeing the terror of the communist party. This should be a park to remember the atrocities some people experience daily across the world, and it should remind some people that some refugees immigrating to Canada are here because they are looking for inner peace. Welcoming them is important!

I visited this places during Winter and Spring and is a completely different experience. During Spring the place is really calm and you can go any time of the day to just relax, lay under a tree and listen to music, some people go the to have a little picnic with family or friends. During Winter is a little harsh ‘cause the weather -of course- but you can go on a day that the weather is not that bad and have a pleasant time just watching the Ontario Lake.
Lana (my doog) and I are big fans of TBP, especially the dog bowl (off-leash doggo park). It’s centrally located, just large enough, and features a great mix of grassland/fields, “forest”/trees and park amenities. Minor complaints include how busy it gets (on nice days), the demographic (hipsters) it seems to attract, and how much garbage said hipsters leave lying around. Still though, we absolutely love this place… So please don’t come here so we can continue to enjoy it 😊

This is one of our favorite parks in the city, I love the vibes here. They have tennis courts and some play areas as well, but it's a great place to just walk around. Oh they have Sakura as well so that's another plus.

Nice park with a cherry blossom walkway. But the blossoms were just a short walk. Expected a little more tbh. They do have other activity spaces like tennis and other outdoor sports. Nice place to chill but as a woman, I won't be walking through this park alone after dark. Parking spaces go out real quick so have ample time at hand to find one if you want to enjoy the park.
Really nice park to hang out and have a walk. They have tennis courts and outdoor ice rink to do activities with friends. I went there to see cherry blossoms last week. Although it was crowded in evening it was definitely one of the best place to see cherry blossoms. Will try going in early morning next year.

As a proposal photographer I have been to Trillium Park countless times. There's a reason! It is such a beautiful park with an incredible view of the skyline over the lake. It also feels like a slice of nature in the heart of the city. The trail that winds around the park and then over the bridge is really enjoyable and has a few very peaceful spots. Come at sunset to experience extra beauty. There are so many great photo opportunities here. The park can be particularly busy during events but usually not too bad. Also a great spot for people who love planes as they fly into Billy Bishop frequently and very low. Parking is expensive so plan to stay a while. Parking prices increase when there are concerts going on.
We been there more then once over the years,always a great spot to hang out whenever we come downtown Toronto,don't go there that often.
Can’t imagine how is this place in spring! There is a playground for kids with a swing for children on wheelchair which is amazing! Can’t wait to be back. 😻
Fortunate enough to be living beside this beautiful park. Great for dog walk, running, biking and dates. Very clean and very long pathway with sitting chairs available in appropriate distance. The sunny side swimming pool and sandy beach is must a visit for summer. You can have picnics, go swimming, paddling, running and do all sort of activities. Parking spot's available at the park and bike rental too.
A perfect spot for an quite evening. This is my go to spot for spending time with myself by the water, looking the flights take off and land. Sometimes, they also have some props in the water with a lovely message. They have good no if benches and chair to relax apart from the lush green maintained lawn. The best part is the public bike station is just there. You get a-beautiful view of water and you turn around you see CN tower and rogers, standing tall.

A simple premise - walk along a defined path in a labyrinth to get to the center of the pattern; take in the tranquility and simplicity of the task. It’ll take you less than 10 mins. Appreciate the flutter of the leaves on the trees around you and the breeze as you do. Sit in the center for a moment once you get there.
Beautiful park with a trail along the water. On this hot day the cold breeze was very nice and refreshing. The beaches were filled with people and the whole atmosphere was fantastic. There is a lot of space with areas to play sports, eat or relax in the sun. Lots of trees providing shade as well which was amazing. The views are fantastic and the trail is just long enough to reach about 10,000 steps back and forth. Loved every second down there! Great spot for swimming too btw
Not really impressed. I was expecting something different. Trying to find a sign that leads to the labyrinth in the middle of the park, but hard to find one.
Busy park where lots of people sit around on the grass, and there's an area where dogs run leash free. Washrooms were locked when I went. Good place to view cherry blossoms as the trees are not as tall as those in High Park, so it's easier to take portrait photos. The cherry blossom trees are also planted closer together in comparison to High Park. Paid parking lots are available nearby.

Had a great time here. Sat in the middle for a while and contemplated life. Felt like I lost track of time on the way out, went into a bit of a trance-like state.
A beautiful park to take a walk or ride a bike. May is usually time for the cherry blossoms and the park is packed with families from all walks of life enjoying the sheer beauty of these trees and the park in general. Bring good walking shoes as it takes a while to see the park in its entirety. Pack a lunch and some patience too while finding parking.
