I really enjoyed going to Durham Golf. We are just learning and I felt welcomed without judgement. They allowed us to share a bucket instead of having to buy one small bucket of balls each. I am left handed and they had many clubs I could borrow. You can bring your own clubs or borrow theirs for free.
Also disc golf is free. You do have to bring your own discs but the whole course is free.

Convenient and relatively cheap - at the cost of having to deal with the owner.
The one older gentleman that works here is very nice. The owner is drunk, delusional, and the most disrespectful person in business I’ve ever met.
After a father had mistakenly used the rear door of the building to purchase another bucket for his son and himself to continue golfing, the owner with some sort of booze in hand began yelling at him to run a lap around the building for the ‘principle’ of using the wrong door. While the customer complied with the ridiculous demand of the owner, the owner proceeded to yell at his employee to refuse selling the customer another bucket of balls because he should have known better.. after the one employee had mentioned the father was with his son the owner reluctantly said he could purchase another bucket..
The owner then proceeded to yell derogatory remarks at myself, unprovoked while I waited silently.
It was beyond uncomfortable and extremely unacceptable behaviour. Buddy needs help and a reality check.

I came here for disc golf. We had a great time. I was weary because of some of the reviews but nothing happened to us. Staff was friendly. The place looked busy for the driving range. I'm happy we went.
If you are looking for a place to be disrespected and treated like a second class citizen, Durham golf range is the place. This is not the first time I've been treated in this manner. But it will be the last, guaranteed. This dude, is the most entitled and ignorant attendant I've dealt with in sometime. These are the very acts that show people that racism is alive and still apparent. This is pitiful. Please don't spend your hard earned money at a place that disrespects its customers as though we are obligated to spend there. Other ranges take the time to work hard to win your trust. I'm not rewarding this bad behavior any longer. Disrespect one, you disrespect us all. READ ON TO HEAR WHAT HAPPENED!
After asking if there were anymore free spots available, on a packed day, the attendant chose to point to the prices and grunted "5 and 12", while carrying on with his work. Perplexed as to why he mentioned that I stated "Sorry, I am asking about availability" and then repeated my question. He looked up and said "Open your eyes, man. I DON'T KNOW." He then proceeded to try to handle another customer. Absolutely aghast, I walked out. While exiting I could hear him addressing the customer, jokingly saying "F---ing guy, just open your damn eyes, wow." Hearing that I turned back in a shouted "you need to show your customers more respect and be courteous. We don't spend our money here to be treated like this".
After vacating 2 other people hearing, the exchange, stormed out immediately afterward, as well. One (another black lady) alerted me and stated "he just verbally and rudely dismissed her" right after myself. Another (white male) responded, that this attendant had done this to numerous others.

Great 18 hole "intermediate" Disc Golf course, love the fact its close to Whitby. Its white tees, all par threes with some 400+ holes to get your drivers out. Lost and found discs are located in the club house.
Very clean and well groomed course I visited for the first time and will be back again, so perfectly laid out a joy to play on
Best price in Durham region. Bucket of balls $10. Take cash, drop it, grab your bucket and go.
Staff were friendly and prices were reasonable. I believe it was just over $40 for 4 buckets of balls at the driving range. It was quite busy but we were still able to get on right away. Tee boxes for driving range weren't in great shape. The balls would not stay on the tees on 2 of our 3 tee boxes but worked fine for hitting off the mat.
