Nice and quick way to get around the Bosphorus. The one way ticket is 8 try. You definitely have to take Istanbul pass or to take 5 or 10 trips card

Took the local roro ferry for fun and it was enjoyable trip.

One thing for sure, much cheaper then tourist boat

An improvement required though for tourist is the ticketing part. Was difficult to understand how to buy a one way ticket so we end up guessing it.

The most reliable and cheaper Bosphorus Tour. 12Lira for half Bosphorus tour, which will be for 2 hrs of ship ride and travel to half way in Bosphorus strait.
Fully enjoyable sea ride that will take us along some important bridges connecting Europe and Asia.
The ship itself is big enough to roam and have 3 decks.

The ferry system is a life saver in Istanbul. This huge city is a non stop traffic jam 24/7. The way to move fast is by taking alternative means, rather than taking taxis. The ferries are frequent, on time and inexpensive.
To buy a public transportation pass that is also good for other places like buses and the tunnel tram (underground cable car) you need to find a local to give a hand. Those are rechargeable cards with top up machines in every station

Nice and quick way to get Adalar and princess islands. Also to cross the phosphor to Asian side of Istanbul.
But bring your water, juice and chips with you as it's very overpriced on the ferry. So make sure you travel with the ferry that works with Istanbul travel Card, its much better and very cheap prices during the journey.

An excellent way for a tourist to cross the Bosphorus to the Asian side of Istanbul, although almost all the attractions are on the European side, I found the trip to be worth it. The ferries are regular throughout the day and you can buy snacks on board. Well worth the effort even if it's only to say you've visited Asia by ferry.
