Rouge Hill, Great lakes Waterfront is a hidden gem. I like this place very much. Plan to send half day picnic or full day, or just 2 hrs it has something for all. Relax, rejuvenate, recoup
Looking for a place to take a walk with kid. Nice silent place with lake view. Few people here, decent size parking lot, not much visitors.
I love walking in this park. There are a few benches to sit and relax and watch/listen to the water. There are plenty of garbage/recycling bins.
The view is amazing. The perfect place to hike. Not recommended for kinds under 8 to be hiking down unsupervised due to the cliff and steep hill. But otherwise it's a must see must go! Summer ☀️ here I come!
Parked at the Waterfront Trail parking lot, went eastward to the bridge. A little too windy near the water, decided to turn north. Along the creek, passed through the Lower Highland Creek Park to the Colonel Danforth Park and returned. Is was early in March, the path was still covered by snow and ice. It was a pleasant walk.
It is definitely great. When we started, we had a short walk in mind, but it was so beautiful that we ended up walking till Rouge beach/ Pickering. But, honestly, it was worth every step. It took me about 3.5 hours with my kids to complete the round trip to the parking lot, but I can’t complain.
Nice place to sit on the beach and stare out across the waves. Bring a windbreaker. Pack a lunch. Explore.

Water level is high with 2 foot + swells rolling high up the beach front. Buds on the trees and things are beginning to turn green lots of rain today.
