Pidurangala Rock in Sigiriya is an absolute must-visit attraction in the area! 🏞️ The climb is challenging but incredibly rewarding. Divided into two parts, the journey begins with stone steps leading up to the Buddha statue, followed by navigating through rocks with care. Despite the difficulty, the panoramic view of the surroundings and the stunning sight of Sigiriya Rock make it all worthwhile. Whether you catch the sunrise or sunset depends on your timing, but both promise breathtaking vistas.
I highly recommend wearing sturdy shoes for the climb, as they make navigating the terrain much easier. The 1000 LKR ticket fee for tourists is reasonable considering the unforgettable experience it offers. For locals, entry is free.

A beautiful climb.
The climb is not that hard until you reach the top most where there are rocks and you will require some help.
There are no tickets for the locals but you will have to ensure to wear decent clothing as you need to go for the hike from a temple.
But our overall experience was 10/10

A great alternative to Lion's Rock. The entrance fee is 1000 ruppees. On the top you will get a panoramic view of the surroundings and a great view of lion's rock which actually gives you great pictures. Excellent for both sunrise and sunset.
Totally recommended if you're searching for evidencing a perfect sunset from a mountain. This place is worth the hard climb. I'd prefer climbing this rock rather than the Lion rock. At the top you can experience a really nice view of the surroundings and the Lion rock will be just in front of you. They now charge 1000LKR for tourists and no charges for locals.
Thoroughly enjoyed climbing the rock. The climb was not too difficult if you're careful and take your time. The last 5% is the most difficult. At the end use the gap through the middle it's far easier than trying to climb either side. If you're careful you'll get up easy. I climbed it wearing crocks. The views from the top are magnificent.
This place is truly amazing with the scenery. Love the feeling of standing on the top of everything. It’s interesting to see the crowd struggling and queuing for getting up to the lion rock on the other side. Just 1000 SLR. Worth the climb 🧗🏻♀️.
Must visit. The first part of the hike is kinda easy, just stairs. But the second part is could be hard if you’re not fit enough. You have to climb and go through narrow holes between rocks. However the view is amazing.
