After reading about this place and seeing photos online, we were really excited to try it. We made a reservation on Open Table, received a confirmation email, and drove over 40 miles - only to find the place locked up. Another couple arrived as we were leaving. They tried the doors as well, and said they saw a sign that said "Temporarily Closed". We all tried calling their number and didn't even get a recording. Extremely disappointing. If you're not going to be open, disable your online reservations and post a recorded explanation of some kind. I'm only giving one star because I can't post if I don't. Not impressed.

Service wasn't anything special and neither were the drinks. Large portions with my food, which was nice. It was really crowded when I showed up and then it just emptied as people left to go to the show next door.

Tuesday’s bartender and atmosphere brought this review up from a 1 star. But, Monday night was a disaster (4/23/18)... I stopped in to have a Paloma Punch. The bartender obviously had no idea what it was. He served me barely chilled sangria topped with ginger beer, he even took the time to scoop fruits from the sangria pitcher. While making my drink told me it would be my last because he was closing early. So I paid, tipped and left by 10:50pm.
Meanwhile, he began mixing and lining up drinks for his bud smoking homies who filed in as I was leaving. Horrible experience.
I had to try this place again on Tuesday because I knew, or I should say extremely hopeful, that Monday’s experience was a strange anolaimae. Just as I suspected the bartender was knowledgeable, friendly and the music and crowd were pleasant, they could have easily received 5 stars but for Monday’s experience.

Great drinks, fantastic specials every night, and one of the most affordable New York bars I've seen. It has a relaxed, quiet environment that's great for catching up with friends. A new favorite of mine!

Chill spot attached to Symphony Space. Have been here primarily for Trivia Nights. Inexpensive drinks and the food is above average. Never too loud and enough seating to not become claustrophobic.

It feels more like a lounge than a full-fledged bar.

I had a quick bite and a couple of beers here. The prices were not bad and neither was the food but the place seemed more than a bit dated and they would do well with some new furniture... Some. Of it was quite ratty. Not bad for a dive but I this is not meant to be a dive.

Not a place that I would probably go again but it's not a terrible option if you need a place to hang for a bit in a rain storm

This place is really nice and neat.. Only locals know about it (which is a big plus) and they have good drinks at a budget. I go there before shows at Symphony Space, but I would suggest it for any kind of party
