I have had the most amazing experience here today. Every person I have had contact with has been an absolute delight to deal with making you feel very comfortable at ease, well informed with an incredible high level of care and professionalism. Working in the health space myself it's wonderful to see a clinic function so seamlessly and with such passionate staff.

I don't suggest anyone to visit this centre. I had done endoscopy here and not having insurance, they sent my samples to Douglass Hanly and this pathology sent me a bill of 750 AUD just for pathology and same tests are bulk billing with Laverty pathology. My question is why they sent my pathology samples to someone who charges 3 times more than medicare rebates? I suspect, they receiving some benefits or credits from Douglass Hanly. Poor management.

I regularly see Dr Robert Foster as my Gastroenterologist every 6 months through the John Hunter Hospital outpatient clinic , He did a gastroscopy on me back in November 2023 and I have to say he is the best specialist I have had looking after me for my lifelong chronic bowel issues ,
I highly recommend him to absolutely anyone who is looking for a gastroenterologist to look after them either through Beechnut Medical Rooms in Hamilton or John Hunter Hospital in New Lambton Heights,

Thank you 😊 Aimee Stromeier

Warm and Professional.

It's never easy going through tests, but the staff and crew at NEC have made my stay very comfortable with authentic, genuine, old fashion patient care.

A caring feel from front desk to procedural to recovery and discharge (pun intended).

Thank you.

Experience was awesome, nurses were incredibly attentive, professional and caring.
Felt very comforted knowing I was in the hands of professionals who literally do this day in day out.
The hospital was also immaculately clean which was really nice.

I had a very positive experience with the Newcastle Endoscopy Centre. I was initially concerned when my Doctor wanted me to have an invasive procedure, and I was referred to Dr Foster who practices at this centre, working with Dr Campbell.

However, despite my initial concerns, the communication and clarity from the various doctors and the Newcastle Endoscopy Centre were all clear and helpful, and the phone calls from the nurses were friendly and pleasant and emphathetic.

Then, on the day of the procedure, today, I arrived ... was well looked after, given a clear understanding of how the process would go and the staff were all kind and calm. Then they wheeled me into the room and ..... before I knew it I was in recovery waking up. Once again, the staff were kind and kept me informed of what was happening, gave me something to eat and drink and helped me out.

My only cost was my health fund's hospital excess, and at every step of the way the nursing staff, reception staff, and of course, the Drs themselves, were kind, clear and professional and made what was a concerning experience simply seem so calmly 'business as usual' and effortless and painless. I don't know what all my fear was about now!

I even got booked in within a week of being referred and now it is all over with. By contrast, I understand the John Hunter Hospital has a waiting list of over a thousand people for the same procedure. While Australia has an awesome public health system and safety net there truly is a place for private facilities and the small amount I paid was trivial in comparison to the skill and warmth and comfort I experienced here.

Anyhow ... this is long-wandering but the point being if you are going here for a procedure you can relax; you're in good and safe hands.

I had bowel cancer in 2016, I found Dr Smith very competent with all the procedures. I was amazed how he assisted young interns to become as good as he is. This of course is the next generation and they need some really good leaders..
