Macquarie Family Practice

I was recommended this practice by a friend about my back pain and migrains, I have been dealing with incredibly bad back pain for the last 12 years with no releif from braces, medication or exercises and after seeing Dr Louise McKinnon not only did she discover I have a heart condition the medication she prescribed me for my back has given me pain relief for the first time in so long. I can't thank her enough for helping me.
The reception staff are lovely, friendly and easy to deal with and everyone seems happy to see you everytime you arrive. I have been to this practice only a few times now but everytime I've seen the reception staff going out of their was to help anyone who comes in.
I genuinely think this is one of the best practices I have been to and would highly recommend them to everyone.

Dr told me my 2 year old had vaginal thrush without even looking at her. Sent me off to chemist with some things written down and pharmacist refused to give to me as you do not insert anything into a 2 year olds vagina. Very very rare for this to occur before puberty. Disregarded my concerns for a UTI. She does infact have a UTI. 0 help. Would not recommend going here.

I went to the practice twice and both times had issues with reception giving me misinformation about the cost of appointments and about being able to attend a Saturday appointment which i was told i could at a cost and then changing their mind on me being able to go to the Saturday appointment at all (which with work was the whole reason I booked here). I also found the doctor pretty unhelpful to answering my questions about pregnancy and didn't enjoy my experience. Will not return.

The ladies in reception are lovely, friendly, very welcoming and extremely helpful. The doctor was very professional and cared about my well-being. It is a very well rounded, clean and friendly place to go.

We take our 7 yr old granddaughter to see her doctor here and I have to say all staff , doctors, nurses and receptionists are always polite and happy to help . I find them to be very thorough in their care of my granddaughter. Would highly recommend this practice

Honestly thought this was an okay surgery until today took my 2 year old for an app had my 3 ur old with me also and the rude lady there goes you need to keep your kids quiet because we are getting several messages to say it’s too noisy. I’m sorry should we bring some duct tape with us for kids mouths because a child is going to be completely quiet. Won’t be back will be finding another GP that’s is kid friendly this place clearly is not!!!

My family and I have been given nothing but the best care and concern when attending appointments with Dr Tavallaie & also Shelly the NP. I have been a patient with Dr Tavallaie for many years and no complaints whatsoever. Receptionists also working hard to accommodate for such a busy practice. Would highly recommend, my daughter who is 2 is also very comfortable when needing a check-up.
