Great playground with lots of different slides and climbing equipment. There's a field to play ball in and swings. Ample parking, a couple covered picnic table areas and there's a pool and splash pad in the summer for a small fee.
The park has been remodeled since the Google pictures were taken and the ballfield is now a playground. This is a much better use of the space and will benefit more kids. (History: the railroad once came down MLKJ Drive and curved around this location and to the northwest, but that was many years ago)

Really nice facilities. Pool with kids water park. Big play set for kids. Picnic tables and grills. Public bathrooms. Clean and packed with folks.

Enjoying the newly renovation of the park. The basketball courts are great. My daughter can practice on the well made surface and the goals are solid. Also usually it's not crowded and has enough goals that she can move freely.
Update: Overall the park is still great, but they do need to do a bit of maintenance. One of the swings I mentioned in my previous review is completely missing, and a couple of the regular swings are starting to look a bit rough. But some west and tear is expected. Hopefully the swing is missing because it's being repaired. Still definitely worth a visit.
The updates they added to the park are amazing. The playground is huge, the swings are awesome, and the pool looks great. (We haven't been swimming yet.) I especially like the swings they added that have a space for a parent to sit across from their little one and swing together. I've never seen swings like that before, and we absolutely loved using them.
