They do not let you go out during intermission!! At a bob marly tribute show right now and I can my go for a recharge before the set continues. I feel like I’m at a high school dance. I’ve never been told I can’t leave a place and come back since I was in high school!! I’ll never come to a show here ever again! And I’m a local comedian that’s selling out of all the local places I’ve had shows lately, looking for a bigger venue, it will never be here now!! Security guard smirked in my face and really enjoyed the fact he had some authority! And to answer the owners reply, security were smug aholes about the situation, this policy angered many patrons not just me and you let a few older gentleman leave for a smoke but no one else?!!! That’s some fascist behaviour , surprised you don’t still ask for vax status and make ppl mask up! Exactly I work venues that don’t treat ppl like children. No one does this and you need to scrap it!…
Update: owner deleted his reply.. also took time to read other reviews and I’m not the only one that’s found your staff unbearable. Stay away from this place!

Had a great evening at the Gayety Theatre to watch Tribute Band Dreamer for Supertramp. Amazing group of musicians. Fantastic music.
Great memories.

You can't open wrong seeing a show at this theatre. Our band "Green River Revival" has played here numerous times to full audiences and aways a wonderful time. Nostalgic place that is one of the few that has a bar in the theatre!

We went to see an AC/DC (who made who) tribute band here last night. The show was great and the musicians were super talented. As much as we enjoyed the show, we will not be going back anytime soon.
Upon arriving, there are two security guards at the door, asking to look inside your bag (purses) which I thought was a little bit much. During the intermission, a couple of us tried to leave to get some fresh air. We were greeted by these same security guards and told that if you leave the building you cannot come back in…. We could not believe this. This is/was a small town theatre… it definitely does not have this feel anymore. I chatted with another friend who had also recently been to see a show and he said he had the same experience and won’t be going back… nor will we. Unbelievable that they invade your privacy AND don’t let you leave the building. We regularly attend shows at other local theatres and none have policy’s like this.

A lovely theatre. We had front row seats which I would not purchase again - we couldn't see everything on the floor of the stage. Comfy seating. Cool set up for patrons with seating at the bar at the back of the house. We'll be back for sure.

What a great place. Cozy. Comfortable seats. Great sound system. Small enough that every seat is closer enough that you can really feel the performers. Nice that you can actually go to the bar too.

Gayety Theatre is a great little theatre. Good sound, lighting and soft seats. I went to see Steve Michaels as Elvis and the show was amazing!! it was a "sold out" show. Can't wait to come back again. P.s. friendly staff too!
