The Roof Top Lounge

This probably is one of the worse restaurants I have seen. Ramada is a big name. Has a fabulous location , a roof top restaurant with a nice view. All marred by really tasteless food, very untrained serving staff, they have no clue how to place a plate, Cutlery, Serve dishes. Add to that lot of attitude. Most of them will ignore if you try and attract their attention, if you don’t ask they won’t bother serving. and certainly not offer the second helping. we took a client and it was really a huge disappointment. do not know if the chef was also new. really sad food. not coming again !

Great place to relax by the poolside with your friends and family,good food,good service-this is a place you are there to unwind hence service understandably takes time.

Good place to chill the rooftop lounge at Ramada plaza chennai. I ordered musk melon juice. It was super dilute and a misery. Peas, cottage cheese and raisin kabab was emotionless. Wouldn't recommend it if you want some spice. Turkish Lentils soup is nothing but dal curry puree.. if you like dal .. you might like this one..wouldn't recommend it though. They serve alcohol. It's a nice place to chill and chat with friends but food is pricey and definitely not worth the money. The view from here is nice.

The price is really on the higher end though the food quality and quantity is lacking.
The naan looked and tasted like a hard burnt rubber. The chicken dum biriyani had a very average taste. Starters are average as well.
Afterglow and shawarma was good though.
If it's just for the rooftop with a pool view you can experience it once but food wise nothing special and the waiting time is very long.
Pros: Valet parking is there and everyone is friendly.

Ultra slow staff coupled with inefficiency makes it hard that this rooftop is in a place like Ramada. The staff says that they do not have pitcher of beer but we are able to see that a waitress is walking holding a pitcher of beer. A huge list of single malts are listed on the bar menu, but only 2 are available which are obviously costliest. 4 to 5 starters are ordered and it takes the team close to 1 hour to get them. Items like naam and other breads are precooked and heated in microwave before being served in fancy steelware to the unknowing customer. atmosphere is ok because of the rooftop with some great glimpses of the skylight. For 15 Sterran (unsure of the spell, but definitely local) beers, 2 pegs of Single Malt, 3 biryanis and 6 starters came with a hefty amount of Rs. 43000. Quite high for such a ove mentioned terrible offerings.

Went here with family and had a nice time. The view from top of the hotel is very good at night and the staffs are very generous. They offered to serve and were always welcoming with a smiling face to take orders. The food quantity of mushroom starters were very low and the portion size needs to be improved. Quesadilla and arabic platters were very good and tasty.

I loved the dessert section where i tried the chocolate dome and apple rasamali. Overall a good place to hangout with family but needs a step up on the varities on the menu.

Possibly the best romantic spot to have a peaceful, quiet and absolutely delightful dinner. This lounge bar and restaurant is on the top floor of The Ramada Plaza Hotel, Guindy and its an absolute gem which most people are sleeping on!
First off I gotta talk about how amazing the ambience is! There is a poolside view and lounge overlooking the city for a good time with friends.
Bringing a girl/boy? There are separate Cabanas for your discretion and a romantic dinner!
Next up, where do I start with the food! It was just about perfect! From the spice levels, to the freshness of the ingredients the cooking level.
The Crispy Prawn Pappiot and the Pulled Chicken Wings were to die for!
The Chicken Biriyani deserves a special mention! It was soo balanced!
And the icing on the cake was that if you are a Zomato Pro Member, you get a flat 20% off on your bill!
Will definitely visit this place again!
