Great little restaurant. My daughter and I were in Montreal for a layover between flights. We decided to search for the top rated poutine in the area and found this place. Services exceptional, the crew that works there really knows how to keep the line moving. Very fast paced service, but they do not make you feel rushed when you are dining in. Thank you for a wonderful meal after a long trip away from Canada. The poutines were excellent.

This poutine spot offers a creative twist on classic poutine, blending traditional flavors with innovative touches like ground beef and guacamole. The combination is surprisingly delightful, with the creamy guacamole complementing the savory beef and cheese curds perfectly. While service and ambiance are straightforward, the poutine stands out. A solid choice for those seeking a comforting, yet unique, culinary experience.

Food was average, they gave a wide selection but the fries were torn in half when used fork, somehow like they weren’t fresh enough or something. The service wasn’t special, for example the waitress puts the cups on the side of the table and you pass it on to your people and pour the water, for some reason they made us pay before the food came, in the excuse of the waitress’s shift was done. I think this is not a way to treat customers, even though if that was the case, another one should take over and we should only pay after we are done. It’s not a fast food place. Anyways i would give it a 2 star. It can definitely be better.

If you want to try real Poutine, the best and only place you should think about ordering from is La Banquise. Although, you may encounter a line out the door and around the corner, I can assure you this place is well worth the wait. Their dish may be a little pricy but they are large and can easily be shared with other and also can easily be taken home for leftovers.

Please know that this place does not accept cards unless they have change their policy since i was last there a few years ago. They do have an ATM on site just in case you do not have cash with you when you visit.

From reading numerous reviews, this restaurant was recommended by various people. When we came here our experience was not as great as we had hoped it to be. Firstly be prepared to queue for up to an hour depending on how busy it is. The gravy for the poutine is vegetarian so this is a bonus for a lot of people.

We were given time to order our food as the menu was varied. We decided to try the classic poutine and we were disappointed by this, gravy was cold and the cheese curds didn’t melt, we also had to ask for more gravy to make the dish taste better.

We also ordered La Rachel but added hot peppers to enhance the taste and this certainly helped. This dish was great as the cheese curds had melted and there was enough gravy on the plate.

As soon as you are nearly finished they ask you about splitting the bill and bring the bill over straight away. Overall we didn’t have a great experience here and will not be coming back again. I’m sure there are much better poutine places in Montreal, however this is great for vegetarians.

You know what? It’s good, it’s really good. This is the number one place everybody keeps telling me to for poutine. “The number 1 poutine in Canada!” They said.

I agree, you can’t find this in Toronto. It just tastes different. The quality of the curds and the gravy is outstanding.

It’s a place open 24 hours a day and has a line 24 hours a day. We waited for quite a long while, I’m not too sure if the line was worth it though. I think it’s definitely worth it if I were to get it to go or if the line was a bit shorter. But the outstanding poutine doesn’t translate to the line for me.

Don’t get me wrong, I love poutine, but not this much. I definitely recommend here to all my friends to try out poutine in Quebec, but it’s not so I’d wait in line for again.

You get a really large menu, like you get a lot of things on your poutine. Mine personally came with bacon and mushrooms and sour cream and I think it’s the best one to be honest. It was called La Panoramix. My friend said topping to fries proportion was off (too little fries) and I agree for hers.

I think the only reason I’m giving it a four star is for personal note. It’s too hyped up, even though everything is amazing. I’ll definitely come here again, but for takeout or something.

Thank you for having me! :)

First time here since the change in ownership and I have to say, things are still the same! It is worth the line up! The host today was energetic and very welcoming. One of the few poutine places in town that offer goat & vegan cheeses so we come here for that (due to a cow's milk allergy). There's a lot of options so you're bound to find something you'll like. Food arrived quickly as well! Spaces are a bit tight, but that's the fun of it!
