Lafayette and Washington Monument

My favorite spot uptown.

Amazing

This is a cool statue right accross the street from Morningside Park. There aren't any benches around it but there are a lot of trees. If you brought your own chair this little island in the street is actually a nice place to pass the afternoon. The mature trees along the street and shrubs keep the place cool, and since the park is across the street, there aren't a lot of joggers and dogs running past.

If you come to the park, cross the street and check this place out.
