This facility has all of the equipment of private gyms I used to belong to (no pool, but there is one at a nearby NYC facility) but at a greatly reduced cost, especially for senior citizens. It also has free parking!

I love love love the step classes. I put my all in them. On other days,I soothe myself with stretching and meditation. The morning teacher has a very soft voice which is wonderful after revving it up in step class.
Then there is free Zumba on Saturday mornings. Mostly low intensity so that all can have fun.
The best part is the cost. About 150 without pool access and about 152 with pool access, for the year.

It's been getting worse. About half of the machines in one of the two Gym rooms have been out of order for so long, including the front door. The excuse: Frozen city budget. How about our tax liabilities, which seem to be going up steadily since the onset of the pandemic? Darlene, who monitors the Ping Pong tables, is among the reasonable and friendly staff. Yesterday I was lied to by a female front desk receptionist about the schedule for the first time after so many years I've been using the center. I protested to the current manager against a most recent proposed removal of a long-standing, popular activity but apparently to no avail, not to mention that it was the members who chipped in and purchased the equipment. Go figure...

I’m a professional basketball player and was looking for a solid gym to get some work in while in NY. I found it. Incredible facility. Very nice basketball court (floors are clean), multiple full courts w/ pro 3-ball line. Indoor track and nice fitness center. More importantly, staff makes you feel at home. Really good people working here. I recommend any athlete or even someone who just needs a gym to get a membership here. Price cannot be beat.
