Last night, I had the surreal experience of dining at Restauracja Warszawska, a place where the only thing served with a smile is confusion. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stumbled onto the set of a candid camera show. The waiters, adorned with the kind of arrogance usually reserved for royalty, seemed to take a particular delight in ignoring our table. I waved, I called, but alas, to no avail.
The menu was a labyrinthine tome, filled with dishes that seemed to require a Rosetta Stone to decipher. Yet, asking for assistance was like trying to get a cat to fetch your newspaper. Each time I asked for a recommendation, I was met with a look that suggested I had asked them to explain quantum physics in interpretive dance.
Halfway through the evening, I started to wonder if this was all an elaborate act. Perhaps the restaurant was going for a retro vibe, harkening back to the days of communist-era service, where the customer was always wrong, and you were grateful for what you got. In a way, it was almost impressive how consistently disappointing the service was. It takes a special kind of dedication to be that unhelpful.
In conclusion, if you're nostalgic for the days of being treated with the indifference of a cat in a yarn shop, then the Restauracja Warszawska is the place for you. Just don't expect to eat anytime soon, or to leave feeling anything but baffled.

Amazing food, very tasty, modern but with polish influences. Unbelievable venue in a building with incredible history.
As been already mentioned by one lady in the comment section, the restaurant turned out to be booked for a private event while I had a confirmed reservation for this evening.
All the staff seemed too occupied by it, that no one is attending, nor paying attention for new guests, not visiting the event. Only after 30 minutes conversation with different staff members we were proposed either to sit at the Bar or another restaurant on the 6th floor. One waiter proposed a free champagne glass as an apology for the inconvenience caused. The whole situation at this moment might have been settled, but due to the following rude and negligent behaviour of administrator Milana that tried to make it MY fault not picking up the phone when they called the same evening - this is not an appropriate service that you are expecting from this kind of place, nor from ANY place to throw such a behaviour from the part of administration.

I had a splendid dinner here while staying at Hotel Warszawa. The food was simple yet tasty, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was impeccable. I ordered mixed greens, meat dumplings with chicken broth, herring with ginger, and the Warsaw 75 cocktail. I found everything delicious, except for the herring, which I found too sour. They also offered some complimentary snacks, which was a nice touch. I found it a bit odd though that there were almost no people in the restaurant, leaving the waiters without much to do.

Great find in Warsaw, surprised by the quality of the food, chef Darius has been doing some great job here, amazing bread made every day plus other top ingredients making this place one of the top choices for fine dining in Warsaw. Do not pick on the service, though.
