Great Taste Chinese Restaurant

We started going to this place because one of our friends told us this was her dad’s favorite for decades.

They have a big menu with dishes from a mixed selection of cuisines from different parts of China. Some of the dishes they offered are rare to find elsewhere. We have been here several times, and food has always been decent. Their servers are always friendly and welcoming. It is also quite spacious inside. Prices might not be the cheapest among Chinese restaurants, but some of their dishes are in big portion.

This time, I came by myself with a spicy noodle soup with beef tendon and a hot soy milk. They gave me a small bowl at the side for the noodle. I didn't know what it was for, but they apparently were thoughtful.

This is a little gem. An extensive menu of delicious Chinese cuisine. It is a very stereo typical Chinese Restaurant, with the usual décor. But definitely worth visiting if you are after a sumptuous Chinese meal. Rosy was friendly and very helpful in recommending several of the dishes. Absolutely delicious and a reasonable price.

Went with family of six last night for the first time. We ordered a lot of dishes and the food was pretty good. Never had I seen such pleasant and cheerful lady staffs, they all worked so hard and efficient, while super friendly to all customers. This is definitely a place to go for Shanghai cuisine in Calgary.

First off, I need to point out that the staff were some of the friendliest people I have dealt with in a restaurant.
My family and I visited this place for the first time on Christmas Eve of 2023 and we were pleasantly surprised. Easily the best I have had (this includes Edmonton). My experience is based on the following:
- The food quality was second to none. I didn't feel like dying after I ate a full plate. The amount of sodium or MSG was just right. Again, I felt human after I arrived home and woke up the next morning.
- The staff were working harder than anyone I have seen work on Christmas Eve. They were slammed and still managed to check on us, fill out glasses and clean the table. All while smiling and be cheerful.
- The prices. You sometimes get what you pay for and this place is a bargain. Large servings, high quality and the price is just right.

I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning.

The first day of Calgary. The food was so delicious. Especially, Soup Bao is the best!! Minced meat noodles are also delicious. Grilled duck is delicious, but I'm a little bit tired of it. The food was all delicious, so we ate one more noodle soup at the end. Haha i will go again

Great service when we went for dinner. The menu had quite a few options that it was confusing to pick. Finally chose some rice with Taiwanese chicken in hot pot. The plating and presentation was visually appealing and so was the taste. The chicken dish was in a mild curry base with a pleasant flavour of peanuts. It paired well with the sticky rice. They also have a variety of Chinese liquor and beer, so I got a Tsingtao beer to wash everything down. Would visit again.

PS: finding parking was difficult but found a paid one nearby.

Pretty good. Great service. Speedy and accurate. Very polite and informative. Food flavors were as expected but not as flavourful or fragrant or in regards to the fish, as fresh as I have been lucky enough to have in other places. They have interesting variety and many good menu selections maybe I just missed on their specialty. I would come back for a casual meal. The food was very reasonably priced. As usual with Chinatown, parking can be tricky.
