Hicks Lake

Nice beach areas. Beautiful lake to swim or kayak on. Two little islands you go out to. Nice little beaches on them as well. Four or five different beach areas. All Nice. Beautiful watet

We stayed for two nights to Paddle. Loved this campground. Beautiful forested site many with paths to the lake. Lake is clear and warm, and perfect size for a day paddle.

Spent a nice afternoon by the water, we went to the day use area at hicks lake.

Such a beautiful place. Great for kayaking and paddleboarding around. Theres tables set up for bbq and a great picnic spot. You can also swim and just enjoy the day by the lake. Do note that during summer you need to go early otherwise it gets filled up quick and will be turned back.

Amazing little spot. No showers! They have running water from the taps like most provincial Campgrounds but this water has to be boiled to drink it. They have pit toilets (outhouse) so again, no running water.

It's quite, no traffic or noise from the city (just generators for 2 hours twice a day). The road in is washboard in places so takes a long time with a trailer but it's not horrible.

The foliage on the trees starts higher up so there is less privacy than some other campsites.

There is absolutely no phone reception at the campsites. If you go to the rocks you can usually send and receive texts but I could only get any data before 7 am. I found this surprisingly refreshing. (I suggest downloading a few shows for kids if you are there for more than a few days).

The lake is fully amazing. It's clean and clear. It's cool but not as cold as Harrison Lake. This is our new favorite Campground!!

Highly recommend it if you can get a spot.

Hicks lake is a beautiful place to take your family. It’s a short drive from Harrison. The road is a gravel road so be prepared to drive over a TON of pot holes. The lake is crystal clear. There is ducks and geese there so watch for poop. They have outhouses if you need a washroom but bring you’re own hand sanitizer. They also allow coal BBQs and have bins for dumping hot coals after.

A beautiful and peaceful place to spend a day or more with your family and friends while enjoying a great scenic view of the mountains and of course the lake. Even though I thought that there was no reception, we stayed at the lake side close to Lot 16&17 where we actually got some reception.

Definitely make sure to bring all your necessities as it is a bit of a drive away from stores etc.

This lakeside is ideal for families as it is much quieter and the water is crystal clear.
