lovely campground! stayed here in a tent in June while driving cross country, didn’t get a chance to explore the trails. both the staff and fellow campers were very friendly, groups were family friendly and not too rowdy. things were totally quiet by 10pm or so.

tons of cool critters and bugs including mosquitoes — be warned! also be advised that there’s little to no cell service, but public phones are available.

Very nice campground. If you made your reservation online you can go straight to your site. Not required to stop at the office.
Sites are spacious. Some sites have electric. No water at sites but if you have a camper you can fill your water tank before you enter the camping area. Campground has a dumping station.
Absolutely love riding bicycle on the 5 mile Lake Trail. There is an access trail in the campground and if you leave from the campground, before the bridge, there is access point- I do not like that one because of the hill, I prefer taking the access point after the bridge, which takes you to the lake and then you can continue on the Lake trail. We came upon 2 deer grazing by the trail path. They didn't even run away when we stopped. We walked our bikes past them.
At dusk we heard car alarms going off. Wondered what was going on. Then a BEAR walked into the site next to us. We were sitting by our camp fire. It was exciting but scary. DO NOT KEEP YOUR FOOD OUTSIDE! Bear had no interest in humans, just looking for food. Bear turned around when flashlights were shined on him. He headed back into the woods. We stayed out by our fire. He didn't come back.
Lake offers boating, but we were there in the off season. Lake is beautiful.

Beautiful camp ground. They have restrooms where you can shower and of course, go to the bathroom. There's a playground area, sand volleyball and boat fun. Family friendly but yes, it is wild life out there so be cautious

Beautiful park to go alone, with friends or family, they offer boat and canoe rentals. You can fish or hiking, or if you're having a birthday party or family reunion, it's a great spot. My friend told me there is a nice spot for swimming but I did not walk to see it as I came with friends to celebrate Kevin 51th birthday brunch. However, I do plan to come back with my husband and granddaughter.

Beautiful park , about 5 mile trail along the lake, mostly gravel, can go with a stroller. Campsite are very clean and comfortable. The beach by the lake is dirty with algae in the water, and geese poop all over the grass. But you rent a boat and use it on the lake
