While the monument itself may be far from truly monumental, just being in the exact spot where the Equarian event of the last century took place was very cool! And the Museum and concert venue there are truly first rate.
Such a surreal place to visit. My girlfriend and I made a pit stop on our way home from CT. Such a special place and you can still feel it decades later. We're planning on making a special trip back this summer when the museum is open to fully a appreciate everything they have to offer. Definitely a bucket list/magical place to experience. Beautifully kept.
I was there at the festival. My 2 buddies and I were 19 and college roommates but lived close to NYC. It was advertised on the radio that summer. We arrived Saturday morning after the rain. Changed my life.
Beautiful area. And it was interesting to see where Woodstock happened. There's a museum but we didn't go in.

The museum is very beautiful to see. The information is fantastic and guided tour offers even more historical information.
