There's no charge for entry. Reminds me of the Tate Modern in London. I like that this and other galleries are for just one artist, as you can easily see the progression in their work. I also like the galleries with many artists.

Beautiful space designed by Twombly himself - what a fascinating artist, I really enjoyed this collection!

I had really gone in here to get out of the heat, but ended up loving the paintings! Some of the pieces seem like subconscious graffiti, and others like chalkboard dreams. Really fascinating.

Excellent gallery! I enjoyed the Cy Twombly Gallery very much. It’s a must see if you’re in Houston. There was no admission fee and the Menil Collection Museum is across the street. The Rothko Chapel is also near by. Twombly is best known for his large scale calligraphic paintings. Beautiful art, building and grounds! No pictures allowed inside gallery.
