Lots of space in the grass to picnic. Even awesome in the winter when they turn it into a skating area under the Christmas lights
Traditionally every year on Canada Day (July 1st for the non Canadian) we meet there with friends to participate to the Road Race and after enjoy the free pancake breakfast on the legislature grounds. Some years we have been lucky to see members of the provincial government and in 2018 our premier, Rachel Notley, was there with us !
One of the Best architectural marvelous of Edmonton.
Nice open space with a cool designed stage for outdoor events. The location on the Alberta Legislature Grounds is is a cool setting. The original stage size is small so there is an added platform. A summertime event would be cool to see here. The grass makes it comfortable.
Love going swimming at the ledg grounds during the summer time. Its greay for a hot day. Its free. And there sometimes are some stands for ice cream and hotdogs if your lucky.
