The Red Deer

Second time going to the red deer as a party of 9 people. We absolutely love it there, they take such great care of us and are very welcoming. Our server was Matt and he made sure we were all happy and the drinks were flowing! He was also very accommodating of our two year old who made sure no pasta was left in the bowl!!

Just came back from having lunch at this lovely establishment in the heart of Horsham. Food was exceptionally good. We are all far too easy to accept the average these days and pay over the odds , especially in the uk . However this place is special . I can wholeheartedly say that all dishes (4 of us ) including the vegan option were spot on . House wine excellent and best Bloody Mary I’ve had in years . Lady in stripy shirt who served us was amazing, great service all around . Thank you , we will be back.

Visited on the spur of the moment with my daughter and partner. None of us were disappointed, with the food, service, and ambiance. The food was hot and well presented. Our server was attentive without being over powering. Would recommend this establishment to anyone who likes good wholesome food.

Came here for lunch on New Year’s Day and the experience exceeded our expectations. Lovely decor, very friendly and attentive staff, and excellent food.

The menu is seasonal and offers a wide choice of starters, mains and desserts, with a few ‘specials’. Excellent wine selection too.

Fairly expensive but the quality of the food warrants the price.

Great food and environment. Staff were really good and Dawn was really friendly and happy which was great to see. Background noise was quite loud so could do with some sound muffling on the ceiling

We tried to have diner on Sunday without a reservation. This was not possible because the place was full. We decided to return on Monday and we were welcomed warmly by the staff. We had a diner and a desert and the food was fabulous. Staff was extremely friendly and it was one of the best experiences we had going out for dinner in England

Had lovely evening meal here with my Ma before heading off to a launch event at the Capitol.
Sat outside and was a nice relaxed ambience. To be honest was surprised it was not overly busy but our booking was for 6pm.
Matt was our waiter and he could not have been more helpful AND cheerful. Our table was super-wobbly so he assisted with fixing with bits of card.
We had / shared scallops and the beetroot tartar for starters followed by the lamb which we both had. The latter was sensational. From the hot plates the ‘very’ flavoursome peas to the well portioned lamb itself and gravy. We got extra gravy :). Ma had the signature gin and tonic - loved the sprig of rosemary pierced through the cucumber.
