Travel along the Silk Route with chef Izu.

Ideal for a special occasion, chef Izu's Alaya is an ode to Eastern European and Mediterranean plates, with a strong sprinkling of Middle Eastern flavors and ingredients.

The upmarket hotspot at Dubai International Financial Centre, from the same team behind GAIA, oozes sophisticated chic when it comes to its decor, plates and dressed-up clientele , where gastronomic delight meets refined elegance. A culinary journey full of vibrant charm.

Very arrogant manager ! We went for desserts and some drinks after our dinner, since we were in that area , they let us enter and gave us table for 2 person after assumption - face control šŸ˜, gave us the menu , let us choose what we would like to have , and after taking the order the manager came , young very enthusiastic person and said we are so sorry we canā€™t let you sit this table since you are not having a dinner with! And we canā€™t take your order šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«, it was quite shocking moment for me and my husband that we couldnā€™t speak even to argue, he let us feel very ashamed us in front of other people who was sitting next table , we just stood up and leave the table by saying if you are too professional you better not let us in at the first place! We couldnā€™t accept his apologies after letting us feel embarrassed! We could understand your restaurantā€™s policy but you just canā€™t let people leave after giving the table and let the guest sat in your restaurant after just let people leave ? Thank you for the experience!

I visited the gorgeous alaya restaurant on Thursday with a girlfriend and we had a wonderful evening!

The atmosphere was perfect for a date night spot / catch up with friends. We had a cocktail at the bar (added a picture wow!). We tried a few but my favourite was the classic spicy margarita done to perfection.

Staff were extremely attentive and knowledgable about the food offering. We tried a few different small plates as well as the wagyu beef which is a must try! Also the deserts were amazing. We tried the pistachio icecream and apricot tart.

Lovely hidden gem in the DIFC and would definitely recommend to friends and family if visiting

Very elegant experience, friendly waiters and staff, Cute Terrace area.
The food, was very good, loved their cheese truffled pastries, they have makdouss,
It looked a fusion Lebanese Menu, mixed to please many tastes, I personally enjoyed it.
Well done

Food was good but pricy for the setting (300dh for a portion of lamb chops - seriously?). Service was OK, nothing special. just another overpriced restaurant in difc. Good for business meeting rather than any occasion.
