The ranger that guided us was passionate and very well prepared, even if we were not able to fully appreciate all the details shared (we’re Italian and we don’t know so well all the details the american history),
It was really touching and we had the unique opportunity to learn a bit more about the black history in Boston, and about all the people that fiercily fought for freedom and equality.

We, family of 4 from Italy, made the tour this morning with a ranger called Gary. It was a beatiful experience; Gary was a great guide, we saw nice places in Beacon Hill and learnt many interesting information on American history and black people's key contribution.
A wonderful adventure a touch off the beaten path. Unfortunately not as many tourists venture to this trail, but it is through a beautiful historic neighborhood in Beacon Hill. Every house you pass is gorgeous and dripping in history. The main stretch of shops through beacon hill is fantastic. I just wish the descriptions on the website were more in depth.
Got a tour down this trail starting in the Commons on a school field trip. We had an absolutely amazing guide who answered questions people in my group hadl. It was conversational and educational. She had a binder put together to help explain, and show the information being given on the tour. I learned a lot about the history in the area and I highly recommend.
The tour is a lot shorter than the actual trail in its entirety. But with the guide explaining the sites (which imo is the most important part), the trail takes around 90 minutes to walk and listen to.

This Black Heritage Tour with NPS was the best tour we have been on during our stay in Boston. Very interesting, most informative and very detailed information. Would highly recommend the tour and follow up withe the museum at the meeting hall. Great experience.
Great American history tour. Excellent tour guide. Wear comfortable shoes. So much to see and learn.
The Black heritage trail takes you on a historical walk through the rich history of African Americans in Boston. Best part of my trip.
