We were enjoying looking around the common when we heard tours were available. We booked, and had a great time. Our tour guide was fantastic, so informative and interesting. Definitely recommend taking the tour.

I loved the morning walk and run with a sea view 😍

Mini Central Park lookalike. It is beautiful with a pond in the middle of the park with a bridge over it. They do offer boat rides to explore the park on water, which is nice. There are plenty of statues that are filled with historical information. The park looks well maintained and parking is, of course, paid street parking. Great place for a walk to enjoy nature.

Beautiful night time city scape!

Fitting monument for an infamous event. Just one of the many stops along the Freedom Trail.

Can have a nice view especially during sunset time. There’s a lot of walking area and good place to relax

Crowded but small place, got a really good view

If you’ve been to Central Park in NY before, then Boston common is the junior sibling to Central Park 😂
Boston common is beautiful and a great relaxing place for you and your family. It’s also not too far from downtown Boston where there’s so much hustling and bustling.
I loved it and I’m sure you will enjoy it. 💕

We live in London, UK and so are accustomed to having numerous large parks and green spaces to enjoy. Many cities sadly lack this vital component which is why it was so nice to see Boston Common when visiting recently..
It is a fantastic park, clearly loved by locals and tourists alike. We enjoyed learning about The Big Dig, one of the most technically-challenging infrastructure developments ever undertaken in the US (at a true cost of more than $20bn!), and how a once monstrous highway system was put underground reuniting neighbourhoods and opening up a long strip of green spaces. Urban renewal done right!

Nice views and also great if you want to grab your laptop/coffee/tablet and read at a table and watch the boat traffic pass by.
No parks other than green space, but the large chunky steps and aluminum tables with seating were all over.
Great people watching potential.

Nice, historic city park with lots of markers as well as lots of activities. There is a parking garage underneath it. You can also rent bicycles and go on the Freedom Trail, which starts at Boston Common. You can walk the Freedom Trail with a tour guide, too, for a fee.

Nice spot to relax and watch the boats go by. Good view of the skyline and the city lights at night. Plenty of other people around

Couple nice monuments there with a market with lots if vendors.

Must visit for the views, especially during long summer evenings. Sunsets are also extremely picturesque, and watching planes land is surprisingly calming. Of course, there is other entertainment such as visit the aquarium, enjoy a drink, or even book from a number of cruise option (for every price range).
TIP: Take an MBTA ferry to Lynn for $7 (return ticket) to get a taste of the Boston skyline from the harbor without breaking the bank 🤨

Beautiful park to walk around. Plenty to see and lots of places to sit. Very dog friendly and peaceful. Visitor Centre very helpful. Just loved walking around and seeing how well the park is looked after.

All of the waterfront is gorgeous with lots to do. Our favorite part was Fan Park Pier. This was an easy 20 minute walk along the harbor with some terrific views. There are lots of places to grab a to go meal and eat at one of the many public tables. I loved Tatte, who had lots of creative takes on salads, sandwiches, and avocado toasts. The bakery looks tasty too. We also ate at Honeygrow, a stir fry & salad spot. I really liked it!!

I had such a nice time in Boston with walking around the town. Beautiful city, super polite people, very clam and peaceful city. Everyone respected each other.

In the warmth of a summer afternoon, we embarked on a journey to visit the historic Boston Stone. Armed with a sense of curiosity and google in hand, we wandered through the charming cobblestone streets of the city. The air was filled with the chatter of fellow travelers and the enticing aroma of food from street vendors.
As we arrived at the Boston Stone, we couldn't help but marvel at the significance it held. This simple slab of rock, embedded in the ground, was a silent witness to centuries of history. We learned that it was once part of a larger millstone brought to Boston by settlers in the early 1600s. It had served as a milestone, marking the distance to other colonial towns and cities, and had even been used as a pulpit for public speeches.
As we ran my fingers over the weathered surface, we felt a connection to the generations that had stood where we were standing, their dreams, aspirations, and challenges echoing through time. The Boston Stone seemed to tell a story of resilience, growth, and transformation, mirroring the city itself.
Leaving the stone behind, we continued to explore Boston, walking along the Freedom Trail, and soaking in the rich history that surrounded us. As the sun set behind the city skyline, we realized that our visit to the Boston Stone had been more than just a trip—it had been a journey back in time, a way to grasp the threads of history that had woven the fabric of the city we were standing in. And as we walked away, we carried with us not only the memories of that day but also a deeper appreciation for the stories that even the simplest of stones can tell.

After reading about the history of this horrible incident, the visit to this site was quite moving. It is a well-preserved site, and there are city ambassadors close by to tell you about its significance.

This city gives off major European vibes – easily one of my top picks in the U.S., mainly because it's so refreshingly different from most American cities. The architecture and the stunning parks? They're just amazing.

Very nice place to visit and learn about Boston History. with family friends or just for a walk. There's also a frog pond to Cool off on hot summer days .

Nice park. Not much to do except go for a walk and splash in Frog Pond in the summer and skate on Frog Pond in the winter. There was also a carousel but nobody was in the ticket booth so it was not operating.
I love how at the entrance of the park there is a dispenser for SPF 30 sunscreen. Such a great idea!

Beautiful easy walk with lots of public space to grab a quick lunch or bring your own. It’s not in the “usual” things to do in Boston. The Fan Pier is a hidden gem.

Great plaza area around the statue of a great American patriot.

Busy, but beautiful harbor front. Many great options of things to do on water or land

Awesome place to hang out! Went on the sunset cruise it was great I would highly recommend!

Not the exact location, but in the general location. The exact location was over about a square block area. This is placed here to prevent pedestrians from walking in the street. Still a very historical area.

Visiting the Boston Common on a rainy, cold, and dreary Sunday revealed a different but equally enchanting side of this iconic city park. Despite the weather, the Common's charm remained undiminished. The rain-kissed trees and misty pathways created a serene ambiance, making it a unique and immersive experience.
The park's historical significance and lush greenery served as a backdrop for the city's past and present to coalesce. We strolled along the meandering paths, discovering historical monuments and appreciating the thoughtful landscape design.
The picturesque Frog Pond, although quiet on a rainy day, added a touch of tranquility to the bustling city surroundings. We watched as raindrops created ripples on its surface, reflecting the timeless beauty of the city's oldest public park.
The park's accessibility and central location made it a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, even on a dreary day. Families, friends, and even solo travelers found respite within its bounds, enjoying moments of solitude or camaraderie amidst nature's elements.
While we couldn't experience the Common in its usual vibrant splendor, the rain-soaked visit offered a different, almost magical perspective. It reminded us that every day, regardless of weather, has its own allure in the heart of Boston. The Boston Common is indeed a cherished jewel in the city's crown, welcoming all with its rich history, serene landscapes, and enduring charm.

This site doesn't get more complicated than some bricks in the sidewalk. Unless you've done some reading and research about the event (FIVE PATRIOTS WERE SHOT IN BROAD DAYLIGHT... ), this visit will probably not be particularly meaningful.

It seems like a site as significant as the Boston Massacre should have some kind of monument and not just this marker on the ground. We walked right past it and had to go back. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't even some informational plaques.

It is located along the Liberty Trail so you will pass by. You could miss it if you didn’t know it was there. You can learn more about the Boston Massacre across the street at Faneuil Hall.

Best place for walking and visit must if you are in Boston

Beautiful area located in the center of the city of Boston. Beautiful landscape and artwork. Easily address the T and Old Town trolley tours bus stop #13 by the Massachusetts State House. Lots of shaded spots, peaceful. Beautiful artistic cows

Thrilling experience, but nowhere to go to sit and have a sandwich 😾

A.K.A the counterpart of the popular Boston Seaport, with an extra sprinkle of excitement. Whether you want to sail out into the bay or just enjoy a dinner watching tourists on a 1700's fashioned vintage boat, Long Wharf got it all!

Perfect space for playing water and sun bathing

Had one of the best nights ever when I was younger drinking beers in the alley at the stone

A perfect place for morning jobs and evening strolls! I went there towards the end of fall and the trees were beautiful, all of the differently coloured. The pond is a perfect place to sit around and watch the ducks, you can even feed the ducks if you are into it. Suitable to take your toddler for a stroll, hang out with a bunch of friends, have summer picnics or even peaceful dates. Totally recommended.

Incredible, despite the rain, we had the opportunity to stay on The Odyssey. What an experience.

Great outdoor patio to enjoy the location and historical sites nearby. And Sammy is one of the gray back gorilla's of the craft scene. So, good solid tasty beers. Some location exclusives on tap.

Great spot to take a walk and is relatively close to Downtown Boston. It was by the water, with well-thought-out harborfront terrace walk. Also a great spot for plane spotting in and out of the busy Logan Airport across the harbour.

Very pretty marina with lots of boats to look at both big and small. Some lovely bars around if it’s a nice and a good place to pick up a duck tour if that’s what your looking for.

Fan Pier Park a good place to chill. Have cruise ship stop there and from time to time they let people get on and check the ships out! Parking is scarce!

Walk to the wharf all the time on my lunch break. Great view. Next to the aquarium, great place to chill or hang. Plenty around to do. Great place to get away feom work if you are near by.

The Boston Stone is more than just a tourist attraction. It's a piece of history that has the power to inspire and transform those who take the time to appreciate it. After seeing the Boston Stone for the first time, my perspective on life was forever changed.
Standing there, looking at this unassuming rock, I felt a deep connection to the city of Boston and its rich history. The fact that this stone has been standing in the same spot for hundreds of years, weathering storms and changes, was a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.
I left that intersection feeling inspired and renewed, with a newfound appreciation for the simple things in life and a deep respect for the history and culture of this great city. The Boston Stone may seem like a small and insignificant object to some, but to me, it is a powerful symbol of strength, endurance, and the enduring spirit of Boston.
If you're looking for a way to connect with the past and find inspiration in the present, then I highly recommend a visit to the Boston Stone. Who knows, it may just change your life too.

No better way to spend a beautiful day by the harbor. Take a break with a coffee or a book. Great views in every direction. Short walk to ferries and charter boats. Close proximity to Quincy Market .

We travelled from miles away just to see the Boston Stone. To finally see it in person was such a huge moment for us. Make sure to budget time for waiting in line for photos, it was about a 20 minute wait in line for us. The energy in the crowd of fellow Boston Stone lovers was intoxicating. My only regret is that I’m already married, otherwise I would have proposed here.

Absolutely gorgeous park. Spectacular at night, especially. Take in the sights and lounge by the firepit.

Truly a magical experience. The Boston Stone will forever be the most cherished memory my boyfriend and I share. It was an absolute honor to gaze upon this historic legend. I’m so glad I’m alive and well during these days so that I could travel great distances to come appear before this historic piece of invaluable history.

Great statue right in front of Faneuil Hall!

Great place to go and walk around on a nice day! I have a long walking loop that generally takes me through here and I can get a nice look at the harbor. I also just enjoy walking on boardwalks. Good for pets too!

Great place to go for a walk by yourself or with the kids.. Amazing views, very peaceful

The start of my Harbor Walk. If I have the correct location via the information ℹ️ sign posted, the walk is not very long but it was enjoyable. Well maintained. Nice view. It is popular.

this bird has got a DUMP TRUCK!!

Great park with plent of benches to relax and large walking path along the water. Within 6 minutes walk of the airport. Decent priced airbnb's in the area also. 20 mins in an uber downtown or 1.15 hr on a metro.

Beautiful area, right in fron of the first English leader ruled and later became the Old State House.

Beautiful scenery especially at sunset.

Awesome area. Great selection of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Several historical sites and tours in the area.

It was a nice view to see. Lots of cool places to relax.

The park is very nice and from what I could see it was great for kids. Coming out of it you'll see the state house however the establishment was closed on the day I went which was kind of a bummer because it looked really interesting. Unfortunately, the face of the building was obscured by scaffolding but we could at least see the golden dome. The mural of the African American troops and the revolutionary war facing the building was very striking and quite moving. The artist was able to capture the poignant expressions on the faces of the soldiers which were a mix of resolve, resignation, courage, and strength.

The Boston Stone... where do I even begin? This sacred site isn’t just any old stone, it is a cultural reset, a reason to breathe, an escape from this cruel world filled with thieves. It is art, the first gift you open on Christmas, a hug from a loved one, everything you’ve ever wanted, everything you need . A life-changing experience. Following my visit to this promised land, I gained a fresh outlook on the incredible beauty of human existence. We are spirits, trapped in the body of an animal, and we have no clue why, so we make a whole society and drive ourselves to unhappiness by working a job we don't want to do and living in an unnatural and ugly city. We then buy a bunch of material possessions that distracts us from the fact we don't have a true purpose. We still don't even know why we are here and literally nothing matters but we all just go along with it anyway even knowing all of this. I am interested in the concept of death, not because I am sad or anything, more just I am very very very curious what happens. My only complaint is that they missed the opportunity to call it the "Bostone." Anyways, if you're in the area definitely check this place out.

Nice beach front park and pier. Several restaurant are within walking distance. Stairs to upper deck provides a better view from the top. There is a small pier with boats. People are eating lunch during lunch hour or strolling the walkway to enjoy the ocean breeze and the view.

This is one of the most beautiful parks in Boston to view the skyline. It extends far and has small parks included. I recommend coming during dark for even better views to see the nightlife of Boston.

Lovely area for a picturesque walk along the harbor
On a nice day, find many others enjoying the outdoors as well. Via bike, foot, etc.

Good place to stroll by the water side. Dress up with some layers as it gets windy
.. there is place to sit down the enjoy a warm day outdoors.

Perfect view from north end to center of boston

As an immigrant, achieving the American Dream has always been a big goal of my life, but I never thought it would be likely. However, after all these years, I’ve finally realized that the American Dream is not a mentality, but a place — and that place is a little gray millstone just off the beaten path in the heart of Boston. I cried streams of joy in awe, it was an incredible experience. If you are a foreigner visiting America or an immigrant like me, I would highly recommend seeing this hidden gem.

The Boston Stone has captivated locals and tourists alike with its rich history - as late as the twentieth century, surveyors often referenced this millstone as the geological center of Boston Proper. One particular group of fans, known affectionately as the “Boston Stonies,” are known to congregate near the Stone on weekday nights. I ran into some on my visit and they bought me a drink at Dirty Nelly’s! I’m so glad that the people of Boston have turned this humble piece of rock into a literal cornerstone of the city culture.

This was probably my most favorite historical site in the entire city. I walked over from across the street and happened onto a tour group. The guide was friendly and entertaining, and also very knowledgeable and informative on the history of the site. I enjoyed it so much that I actually regret not getting a ticket inside to see the rest of the museum building inside. Definitely going to come back and get a ticket to look inside.

Nice Place to sit on the grass and relax on a summer day. And when it’s a hot day you can bring your child to the sprinklers or yourself. The swings are really cool too.

It is a such a great place for jogging and watch a sunset.

Beautiful walking area and dogs are welcome! Just clean up their poop please!

Lovely place to walk, run, or relax on a bench. Plenty of activity to watch including birds, planes, and boats. Dog friendly if on a leash. Near the end of the walk towards the harbor is a monument and great views of the skyline and harbor islands.

I only walked a short part of it, but it was definitely a great time! The view of the harbor is wonderful especially during the sunset. You can see the skyline a bit as well. There was no litter around and plenty of benches to rest.

Beautiful little tour of the harbor. Wide walkways, numerous benches everywhere, lighting... Can't beat for a morning or evening run. Or just a place to sit and relax and ponder whilst looking at the cityscape :) and the boats moving this way and that. A very pleasant experience indeed.

I loved all the old buildings and sense of history here. Wish I would have had more time to explore. I especially would have loved to have had a beer in one of the taverns that have been around since revolutionary times!

Great views of Boston harbor. Plenty to see and plenty of restaurants and bars to visit while you sightsee.

Enjoyable walk on the Harbor on the airport side. Nice sidewalk and benches to rest and enjoy the harbor.

Great place to hang out, can watch some wonderful people showcasing their talent, wide variety of interesting things to see, eat and buy! Especially enjoyed the performance of a young boy who sang and played the guitar. Watch out for the video..Soul stirring!

Good place for small meetings and other gathering. Located near to central hall

Wonderful sight view and walk. Every now and then they bring a tall ship to the port and let people get in it and explore. This one here is a Colombian tall ship called Gloria, one of its kind!
